And another question. What is Fisher really? Been alive for over 100 years, looks mid-twenties, powerfull enough to have a dalliance with Envy...

I just finished TtH and holy shit. I thought that book was awesome!

I will admit a few things before I continue on. I have only read the series through once. I started when I believe MT was out here in America. I have not read NoK or RotCG (Yeah, I know I need to get on that). So if what I suggest is already not possible due to something listed here or I would catch by reading the book several times through I apologize in advance.

I know K'rul is like the warrens. I know he is an Elder God. But after reading TtH I thought Fisher was K'rul.

Two things made me think this about Fisher. The first one is the major reason, and the second reason was just an afterthought.

On the last page of the book, the third paragraph from the end says this;

"A bard sits, head bowed, and in a short time he will say thank you. but for now he must remain silent, and as for the other things he would say, they are between him and Kruppe and none other. Fisher sits, head bowed. While an Elder God weeps."

I thought Kruppe hung out with K'rul in his dreams, right? Didn't that all happen at the beginning of MoI?

"The bard grunted. 'I'd often wondered,' he said under his breath, 'where the old ones ended up.' (p449).

This is when they open the barrel and find a Seguleh in it. Since K'rul's bar used to be his temple I assume he could be reflecting on that. Then again if he's an Elder God wouldn't he know that?

At the beginning of TtH, Kruppe is sitting around the fire with K'rul, and Fisher shows up, at which point Kruppe relates the events of TtH. So at the end, K'rul is weeping while Fisher broods. So, unless K'rul and Fisher are different aspects of the same entity...no, Fisher is not K'rul.

Crazy theories! How about this, K'rul is the Tyrant. Afterall the pickled Seguleh were found in the cellar of his temple weren't they!

And even though he is around, he doesn't seem to be "fully" here so to speak and therefore he hasn't returned yet.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.
