I personally really loved Jessica Jones and Daredevil - Defenders was alright too, but I hadn't watched Luke Cage or Iron Fist (which I don't intend to watch) so I may have gotten more out of it had I done so.

They're slow burners though as Worry says, but I feel they're worth sticking with.

View PostTiste Simeon, on 09 September 2018 - 09:05 AM, said:

Ugh I've completely given up on them. DD S1 was pretty good. JJ S1 was OK but that was mainly cos David Tenant is ace. JJ herself is just whiny. LC S1 was really good until about halfway through. Then it took a dive in quality. IF S1 was terrible but I made it through DD S2 was still ok but that was mainly due to The Punisher being in it. Defenders was abjectly terrible and I didn't finish it.

None of them were superb. Don't mind a slow burn at all but they just drag on the whole. Too many other good shows to watch to bother any further.

View PostTheRetiredBridgeburner, on 09 September 2018 - 11:17 AM, said:

Friend and I once said they'd all be improved by condensing down by three or four episodes - JJ in particular could probably benefit from that.

View PostBriar King, on 09 September 2018 - 04:38 PM, said:

You should watch them Ando. Some really cool stuff and it's neat to connect things as you have been watching over the yrs for us that have done so. I would highly recommend to watch each season in release order though and not character order!!!

On Ep 1 of LC2

Gah... on principle i really want to watch these, but DD S1 so utterly lost my interest (by ep 3 i was ff'ing everything about Foggy n Karen, most of the Kingpin's love story, chunks of non-DD Matt) that i haven't had the motivation to venture back in vs other shows.

DD season 2 is the ONLY season of Marvel TV on Netflix truly WORTH watching (and most of that is due to the utter excellence of the Punisher storyline). Everything else is middling-fine (LC & JJ S1) to outright bad (IF S1 & Defenders).

I maintain that LC would have been an amazing show if they hadn't

Absolutely agreed. That's my biggest problem with it.

By now I thought we were the only ones watching this show. Really fascinating concept. I and my daughter have looked up more about what actually did happen in and after WW2 because of this show. S3 drops in November or December, I believe.

Indeed.

Bashed through 4 more episodes last night and I'm really finding it excellent.

Also, who knew Burn Gorman was in this show minus his Welsh accent, and with a penchant for imitating Marshall Dammers from THE FRIGHTENERS and severed finger collection?

I started watching Jack Ryan on Monday, I finished it yesterday. It's top quality TV. Definitely recommend.

Buffy is absolutely awesome!

What should I watch? Man in the High castle doesn't appeal to me.

I watched Good Girls on Netflix and that was a great watch. Enjoyed everything about it.

I watched Unforgotten on Netflix and the acting in that is superb. We watched 3 seasons in 2 weeks. It is all we wanted to watch too.

Going to watch S2 of Ozark when we get round to it.

S1 was enjoyable.

Top, top quality from Amazon Prime.

Possibly depending on whether you liked Stranger Things, we found the German show Dark to be absolutely fantastic.

American Vandal S2 is up.

Damn I still gotta watch the 1st finale episode

I shall definitely be watching S2. I've not seen anything of it but from what I know it's going to be a completely separate, individual story. Looking forward to see what they do with it.

In other news, BoJack Horseman S5 is now out and The Good Place S3 will be here shortly! It's a good month for Netflix!

Started watching the Netflix Original THE DRAGON PRINCE (by LAST AIRBENDER head writer Aaron Ehasz), and damned if it isn't REALLY good so far! Animated Epic high fantasy, with elves and dragons. Loving it.

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
