I wish Netflix would make a deal and put all the old Terrance House up to watch.

That may happen in the future considering it's popularity. They'd have to make a deal with Fuji TV for the old ones.

I've been watching Penny Dreadful on Netflix off and on these past few months. Finished it up this weekend. It was pretty good. I was hoping some of the characters would have a larger role to play in the overall plot, but was fine with the way the story went. Now I have to figure out what to start next.

First episode of The CW's RIVERDALE has aired (and shown up on Netflix) and as long time Archie reader I was prepared to hate what was being called "Archie Meets Twin Peaks".....but damned if this wasn't VERY entertaining! I'm in for the season now for sure. I had a blast watching this.

It has a shaky pilot/first episode, but the bones of some fun stuff are there.

The SO and I watched this while she was having a bad day. It moderately held her attention, but it's weirdly compressing so, so much into one episode.

Yeah, definitely the bones of a good show in there. To be honest I expected no less from Greg Berlanti. The guy just makes good television.

I've seen plenty of ads and mentions of the series TIMELESS but haven't seen any reviews to judge whether it's any good or not.

Anyone here watching it? Any good?

I'm gonna watch Powerless tonight (I'm generally on next-day Hulu time for sitcoms). It looks good. It's too bad the timing didn't let them stick The Good Place and Powerless together, cuz that would make a solid comedy block for NBC (if not Must See hay day-level, at least Parks & Rec level reliability).
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm seeing positive reviews but i just can't find any desire to watch a sitcom based in a DC parallel universe. Let us know if i'm horribly mistaken.

I watched it last night and I wasn't impressed, I felt like it was just trying too hard to be funny. Also, I don't know if Vanessa Hudgens was horribly miscast or if she is deliberately trying to be that chipper and "yay everything!" but it was getting on my last nerve. That said, I'm going to give it a chance, but if by ep 3 or 4 it still hasn't grabbed me I'll walk away with no regrets.

So far the only new show that I've really enjoyed has been The Good Place, and I am so forking happy that it was renewed for season two.

Powerless -- it's a decently funny sitcom pilot, and I'm curious how it will sustain itself given the high concept premise. Alan Tudyk and Ron Funches are especially funny. Vanessa Hudgens is definitely in full Disney Channel mode, but it's deliberate (the character is written that way). It'll take a few more episodes before we'll know if this one works.

Sneaky Pete -- watched a couple episodes of this last night. Amazon show from Bryan Cranston starring Giovanni Ribisi as a conman on the run from a powerful mark, hiding under an assumed identity. Pretty darn good so far. Maybe it's my love of My Two Dads growing up, but Giovanni Ribisi has always stood out to me as an organically oddball performer, and the supporting cast is full of character actor ringers.

Finished Sneaky Pete -- meaning I watched two episodes on Saturday, and watched the remaining eight on Sunday. Super addicting. It's not an A-level show, and it definitely does the whole con-man/heist genre convention of step-by-step exposition of the various moves in each con -- but the character work in this show is so good, and all the more cliche stylish elements are secure in that foundation.

Fuck yes it's that time of the week again! I can't wait to see how Corrine and Taylor's 2 on 1 date resolves itself! Nick chose Corrine but Taylor refused to leave and crashed N & C's date at the end of last weeks ep!! Fuck them for making me wait an entire grueling week to see what happened afterwards! SO PUMPED UP RIGHT NOW!

I actually want Corrine to go home on the last ep of season because I love her so much. If she gets dumped she will prob be put on Paradise and I want to see that shit so bad.

I watched two episodes of this. I'm assuming that some of this is actually acting and some of it is real.

Keeping Corinne around, even though she's clearly an immature person obsessed with Nick, makes more sense than keeping someone around who's not into him at all. She cares about him being happy and is willing to rev things up in a way that the ones who are not into him won't. Plus entertainment for viewers at home will go up.

He's going to pick the lady he went on the space float airplane simulation with. His body language was genuinely protective and she was into him as well.

The lawyer from Dallas is a surefire catch though. Too bad she's been outcompeted by the space float lady.

The thing is that the Bachelor or Bachelorette is ostensibly in the show to find a marriage material person. Corinne might be that person, but in three years instead of now, if you get what I mean.

I don't think what she's doing date wise is bad. She cares about him. It's a bit much and makes her an easy villain, but she's doing it to win him rather than "the game". I do think going to sleep immediately after anything exhausting/intensive and not knowing how to handle the other people sniping at her is what brings her down in my view.

That being said, I don't think he's a catch in terms of what Rachel or Vanessa could be going for. Those two are stars as far as marriage material goes.

I also think the cheerleader (the black lady who can be real forward) is super fine, but not ready to settle down for a couple years yet. She's got a sharp mind and a fun attitude.
