Woohoo! THE OA has been given a second season by Netflix!
SUPER excited to se where this goes. This is one of the most challenging and interesting shows that Netflix has made. Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij are really pushing envelopes with their creation. Can't wait to see where it goes.

So 8 ep of Young Pope have aired in US. Next week will show last 2. This is a very strange at times boring show yet every ep has moments of pure brilliance sprinkled into it. The actors are fucking stellar during these moments. I like it but I can def see people bailing on this after 2 or 3 eps.
Couldn't make it thru one.

No surprise but good to hear. Can't wait to see what happens.
Agreed. Also, I just had a theory...
Major OA season 1 spoilers...do not click if you've not watched yet!
Spoiler
I'm SO excited to see where this goes. In fact, as much as I loved STRANGER THINGS...I think THE OA is overall more compelling TV, and I'm more excited for S2 of this.

A couple episodes into Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. It's pretty dumb, but I can't tell yet if it's smart-dumb or dumb-dumb. I did lol a few times in both episodes though, so maybe it doesn't matter.

Just binge watched season 5 of HOMELAND. After the disappointment of season 4 it was a welcome surprise. I'm now actually curious to how they'll go forward in season 6, and relatively hopeful they might do something interesting.
Glad to have a few episodes to catch up on already.
Really just waiting for AMERICAN GODS and ALTERED CARBON to hit the screen.

I didnt care if we continued with the show after season 4, but the wife wanted to because she'd heard good things.

I thought S4 was a fantastic slow burn. I think Abyss and I talked about it. I was getting bored and then the last 4 ep or so got crazy good. I was much more put off by S5 as a whole honestly.
It's been ages since i saw season4 so my memory is hazy on what I disliked about it so much. But it was enough to make me totally blank season5 until i saw enough people say they enjoyed it to give it another shot.
I think how Saul's character played out was the issue for me if I remember correctly. And to be honest, that was a weak part of season5 for me too. He makes some incredibly stupid decisions at times.
But anyway, I'll give this season a go. Hopefully, they'll wrap it up with this one and go out in style.

OK, i brainfarted.
Went back and read the synopsis. Synopsi?
It was season 3 that i really felt was a let down. Dana was awful and when Brody finally came back I don't think they new how to use him. Season 4 i felt really brought it back around.

Hell yes my underdog pick is now one step closer! I predict Raven, Rachel,& Vanessa for the 3 fantasy suites slots for sure. I wouldn't be at all opposing to the fact Corrine could pull a surprise top 2 as long as he doesn't pick her in end. The more Corrine the better the drama. I WANT HER ON PARADISE!!!
Still have an hr left of show to watch.

Corinne is into him. Clearly and she's great TV for being a lightning rod. It's a better deal for both the bachelor and the TV producers to keep her around than keeping the ambivalent and "classier" ladies who aren't into him and don't make great TV.
I've stopped watching episodes because I don't give an actual shit about this show. I was watching it as basically terrible tv therapy when a friend was feeling bad and needed terrible tv to chill out with. Apparently Rachel the lawyer is already the next Bachelorette.
So she musta made it far. She's a catch for sure.

Well that's a huge spoiler considering we still have a few weeks of show left to see.
ABC did a big announcement thingy recently and spoiled it themselves. They don't give a shit about Nick's season at all.

Ep 4 ending had me almost in tears, now this start on ep 5 is a gut punch. Wow this is a great show
Bloodline is great TV.
It's stupendously expensive and will end after Season 3 (coming later this year), but I'm glad Netflix did the show.

Not yet, we are at about ep 4. Savouring them because there are only the 8 eps so far.

Well especially for you BK, here are two pics of big cats that I took recently for work (in a wildlife park here in Ireland)

Tigers are the shit! I love white ones. They've been cross breeding Lions and Tigers in recent yrs. calling them Ligers/Lygers. They look really strange.
Hoping we get to see some of them and maybe some panther action.

Depending on which way the cross breeding happens, you can actually have Ligers, or Tigons. Tigons (male tiger, female lion as parents) will be smaller, whereas, Ligers (male lion, female tiger as parents) can actually be the largest of all the big cats. Ligers are fcking massive. Seriously frowned upon in the conservation world though. It's hard enough trying to protect actual endangered species without making shit up as well.
My new personal favourite is the the melanistic jaguar. The combo of the sleek black coat with the jaguar markings looks amazing. I'd love to see an actual jaguar in the wild, normal or melanistic.

I rarely if ever watch nature documentaries any more. I find the lack of actual new information so frustrating, since it's what i studied in college. I will make an exception for the BBC natural history stuff though. And today i saw that they announced that Attenborough will be doing BLUE PLANET 2 with them.
