On s4 Ep 2 of OITNB. Bloodline is next after I finish this

Enjoyed BLOODLINE far more than I expected to.It's pure soap opera, yet very nicely done, well paced and with a great cast who deliver.
Just wrapping MARCO POLO S2 at the moment. This is epic stuff.

Cool. I really liked MP S2 but I thought S1 was much better.

I think S2 benefitted from less focus on Marco. The baddies arent as interesting as the Chancellor from S1 but the plans are more intricate and forced more development from the characters. And that opening to ep9 was glorious.

Finished season 3 of BoJack Horseman. I love that show. All the existential dread and ridiculous puns.

Yeah. And that underwater episode was something special.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Shit, I totally forgot the second season of Narcos went live this week, and I'm only 7 or 8 episodes into Gotham. Guess I will need to binge it through the weekend, so I can... well, binge Narcos on Monday. Switching jobs came with the unexpected benefit of having a month of watching Netflix, reading books, and drinking beer twice as much as usually :F

The thing about Gotham though is that it doesn't seem really binge-worthy. I'm not a fan of 22 ep seasons, they take a lot of time for the action to pick up pace. It's getting better, but the beginning was slow.

Watched the finale of "The Night Of". Man, what great television. Touches on a lot of pertinent topics relating to the criminal justice system in today's America. Highly recommend it.

I'm not sure Escobar being dead can be considered a spoiler :rtfm:

True, but I spoilered it for show watchers who might not know when he died and when that happens in the terms of the show. But yes, you are right, it's not really a spoiler per say.

The showrunners in announcing it was re-upped for more seasons basically tweeted something like "just because Escobar is dead its not like the story is over". So I don't think, even for those not familiar with the facts, it is a shocker. They 'spoiled' their own shown.

Plus its not exactly ambiguous all season where the thing was going.

Ha even the actor just says it happens in interviews. He did a great job on role

Doing another season without him will be a challenge. The show has other good performances, but not with the same character depth. Add that to Escobar being the biggest known name, and it will be interesting to see how well they manage the transition.

Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

It can definitely be a spoiler to know when in a show's run something happens.

For instance, Deadwood:
Spoiler

I don't have skin in this particular game, since I'm not interested in any of the 3000 Pablo Escobar shows/movies/documentaries that have been made in the past couple years for seemingly no reason, but just wanted to point this out. Narcos is a TV drama that often hinges on tension, presumably, and should be treated like any other we discuss here.

I haven't watched this at all and don't really want to because of inevitable liberties being taken with the facts, and the fact that I know how it all ends. They should have taken the same concept and done a fictional account of a drug lord inspired by Escobar.

Ugh. Not that I think it'll be bad; quite the contrary. But that whole story is gonna be brutally dread-inducing from star to finish.

Anyone see the Shannara chronicles TV show? It's now on Netflix here and was wondering if it's worth watching?

It's godawful and therefore definitely worth watching if you like the books.
