7 episodes is what I've seen mentioned. Whether that is one season and done is another matter?

I felt quite the opposite. Kinda delighted by how it went down.

I don't know if anyone has mentiioned it yet...but MANHATTAN Season 1 is nothing short of BRILLIANT tv top to bottom. Acting, cinematography, atmosphere, score, story...ALL top bloody notch in every way. Full marks, and I simply can't believe it's not more popular.

John Benjamin Hickey's perfromance as Dr. Frank Winter is worth the ticket alone. Every, single, moment he's on screen I'm 100% enthralled. It's a fictionalized account of the town in which the Manhattan project was created in the 1940's.

Go find this show!

Voyager S4 ep6. I like me some Seven of Nine!!!

Voyager is the most shoddily built Federation ship ever...nothing ever works right it needs to. Shields, weapons, tractor beam, transport, etc. poor writing skills cause that's what those issues episode after episode boil down to.

I'm pretty sure that Voyager was based on the Enterprise Alan Ruck commanded in GENERATIONS where nothing worked and was all being installed "Monday"...but they had to go out adventuring anyways.

Yep. I said something last page or page before about it.

Do you think Murtagh told Claire what I think I he did?

Heh? What did he do? I think I missed it.

I watched both seasons of Masters of Sex. Season One is quite good, well acted, has a compelling story, and there are several standout moments. Season Two is something of a mess. It's disjointed and kind of aimless, there are some odd character choices for the second stringers (Mrs. Masters in particular zig zags wildly), and a lot of it feels contrived. On the other hand, the acting is still stellar (particularly Sheen and Caplan), there are still some pretty great moments throughout the season, and the characters and issues remain compelling. It just seems a bit Mad Men-lite, especially when it goes out of its way to tackle the era in clumsier ways than Mad Men. Still worthwhile overall.

I'm a few episodes into Daredevil now. So far it's living up to the hype for sure. I assume mentions of city damage are a reference to The Avengers, which is a nice surprise.

Cross-posted from Other Lit forum.

Woot, so slyly the BBC drama trailer for this year has the first footage from THE LAST KINGDOM.

I've parsed the shots so you don't have to.

http://www.youtube.c...4&v=P4HgFD0JynI

What do we see?

- 0:14 mark it APPEARS to be Ragnar Ravnson (Ragnar elder). At least it looks like the actor who plays the character.

- 0:18 mark is Brida (Emily Cox)

- 0:23 is Ravn (Rutger Hauer) dialogue script page and narration, followed by a shot of the man himself speaking the rest of the line. And then a shield wall and clash.

- 0:39 is Alfred (David Dawson) being crowned.

- 0:49 is Ravn (Rutger Hauer) again, looking grumbly.

Anyways, just a quick peek, but exciting!

It's annoying because if they just made it, like, you know, on its own, that would look like a potentially diverting show, but as an 'adaptation' of the comic it's fucking insulting.
