We finally finished Better Call Saul last night. I am so in love with Kim. I've said it before, she's just brilliant. I'm very worried she will die between here and the start of Breaking Bad.

Edit - also will the pandemic kick in and new stuff will stop appearing soon because I need a pause in new content so I can catch up on A LOT of stuff. I haven't even started the latest Discovery or Mandolorian and Dark S3 needs watching.

Big mistake on my part. I watched the six part docuseries: While the Rest of Us Die: Secrets of America's Shadow Government. Watching this in that weird time right after Christmas when the alcohol hangover, and food hangover, and erratic sleep patterns and over all post Christmas energy really amplified the impact on the whole shebang. Now I'm am actively looking for the remotest place on the planet that one can live.

I was pretty sure Viceland TV was dunzo. A victim of the streaming services that dominate now, making linear television a relic of the tecnological age. The channel is very slim on any interesting content now (used to be pretty poppin' when it launched), there is some, but it has been in decline big time. But low and behold, I see they are bringing out a new season of this beautiful, insane, genius. Gonna watch this foshow.

I dunno ... looks like one of those Jane Austen-y type shows where everyone sits around doing nothing wearing Resting Bitch Face exiling people from polite society for using the wrong fork or talking with the help rather than at them.

;)

Yeah ... nah ...

Agreed. I am NOT a fan of period dramas but this is a lot of fun.

SG-1 S6 Ep18

I hate it when shows throw on filler recap episodes. It’s lazy. SG-1 usually has one a season.

Agreed. Very lazy.

At least you get a pretty decent run of episodes for the end of that season after it though.

Holy shit guys! Barry s2 epi 5. That is the most hilariously messed up show I've seen in quite awhile. I laughed so hard that I had to hit pause because it hurt. I then watched the episode again because I had to, it was so - fucking - good.

For you guys who've watched Barry, and keeping it brief because [spoilers], it's the episode with father Ronny and his daughter Lily. And has this line of dialog: "Barry get your gun and shoot her off my face."

Some heads up programming for those of you who may be interested. Today and tomorrow will be the last episodes of Jeopardy hosted by Alex Trebek. I've been watching all week and it has been very inspirational and emotional to watch him and how much strength and dignity he shows in these last episodes.

DR Ramasjang, think of it like a BBC children's channel, recently released a new children's show called John Dillermand (John Weener-man or John Johnson). It's about a guy who has incredibly long penis that's always getting him in trouble but sometimes the penis also helps.

Check it out. It's short 5 minute claymation stories:

https://www.dr.dk/dr...llermand_227290

Naturally the media and various concerned parents are having a field day about a children's show teaching small children about a grown man who can't control his penis 🤣

Here's an American article about it:

I'm sort of interested in this. I guess historians and "experts" weigh in, which is what I am more interested in (I guess Cage is alright in this setting). Can you give us a review on whether it's worth checking out?

I have only seen the first episode so far, which was on the subject of "Fuck".

While there were a plenitude of comedians and actors weighing in, there were definitely also etymologists and other linguistic experts. They talked about the history of "Fuck" while the comedians and actors just talked about the general use.

It was actually much better and way the fuck more informative than I expected.

I see what you did there.

Is there a list of the swear words that will be covered?

Posted this to the NFL discussion thread, but posting here because this might be something novel to check out if you have little ones.

So, I know the majority of forum members loathe the American professional sport of leather egg keep away / sneak into your land and poop it on your territory war. But the Nickelodeon channel is giving the game a treatment that kids will think is hip and totally boss. Game is today and you have to get the aforementioned channel.

Ooof, the kick off to this coverage has been less then quality. I guess it appeals to kids? The graphics are really low tech quality. Just some flashy overlays. I thought we'd see some cutting edge, deepfake like quality. I dunno, I'll keep it up and see what they do during a score. I anticipate cutting out and going to normal coverage after score / first two possessions.
