Hopefully Atlantis follows soon so I can properly view the crossovers again.

Amazing how despite both shows being wildly inconsistent in quality, the crossover eps were without fail great.

I think all ST is on Netflix in the UK - any tips on what's the best order to watch it? I've only ever seen Discovery and some of the Chris Pine films (thought the first was great, the second was poor and the third was quite good).

Would quite like to get into the lore. But there's so much of it!

TNG first. And find an online chop watch order as much of S1 and 2 is bad...but s3 onwards is much better.

Then hit up DS9 and do a watch order there too.

Then do the films. Generations is fine, First Contact is the gold standard, Insurrection is like a solid two part episode, and Nemesis is the nadir of the four next gen movies but it will help you understand The Picard show.

Then hit up Picard and Lower Decks

No TOS?

Also not all the films are on UK Netflix, Picard is on UK Amazon Prime instead and Lower Decks doesn't seem to have come here yet.

Alien tv series coming to FX... omg yes please!

Of all the glorious shite they promo'd I am most sceptical of this.
Since the second film all screen things Alien have been bomb after HR Giger sprinkled bomb.

...why yes, OF COURSE I'm going to watch it...

Not sure if anyone else is watching Disenchantment, but their twitter account has confirmed that Part 3 will release 15 January 2021

Looking forward to it personally, was a slowish start in Part 1, but certainly grew on me
meh. Link was dead :(

In the category, 'things we don't need'; True Blood is coming back. Didn't get into details, but I think I caught that it will be a reboot, so all new cast?

Midway through S2 of STARGATE SG1 now and I'm loving it! Also, I've noticed that when they are using a set to try to make sure every episode doesn't look like they weren't shot in the British Columbian interior (AKA deciduous forests) even though they were, the quality level of that set design is amped up. They did an episode on Abydos again (last time they stayed in the Gate chamber and a stone building and that's it) and had a Bedouin tent village and it just the interior of the one tent was SCADS better from a design angle. I'm assuming as the show went on, it got budget boosts as it gained in popularity.

Is Teal'c my fave character? He might be. His attempts at humour give me Drax vibes and I'm here for it.

The Masked Singer.

I watched some of season 1 when it begin airing a few years ago because it seemed like an interesting concept. Quickly dropped it though because 1) Main reason is I can't stand the judges 2) It seems to be a platform to reinvigorate washed up "entertainers" / singers' careers.

So last night was the season finale of the latest season. Caught a little of the winner reveal at the end . . . meh. The show should redirect course and bring in more contestants like Mickey Rourke, now that was a surprise early in the contest that got everyone going - whaaaaaaaa! That weird ass reconstrutive surgery face that popped up from behind that costume was entertainment gold. More of that please.

Started watching Barry. Only two episodes in on s1 and I'm already getting excited about the series. Expertly written, excellent casting/acting, it's been a slam dunk across the board. I'm looking forward to spending time with this show.

BTW, I talked about a show, Mr Inbetween, upthread. I get some similar themes. Bill Hader's character doesn't have the same smoldering anger that goes to red very quickly, but it's a good parallel to Mr. Inbetween when he flips the switch and becomes efficient, blank mind, singularly focused on target, killing machine.

Been in the HBO series mood lately so I’ve been catching up with my favorites.

Band of Brothers was first of course, I’ve lost track of how many time I’ve watched that magnificent series. Still so friggin good.

3 episodes into Rome. Remembering why I loved Titus Pullo so much. Ray Stevenson was born for that role.

Thinking either The Wire or Leftovers next. Or I might start newsroom, haven’t gave it a go yet.

Random notice.

Lucius Vorenus season 2 > Lucius Vorenus season 1.

I've not heard about it before but it appears to be a TV-show that is being streamed on HBO.

Lady and I were skimming for a new series to watch.

God's everything is in like it's 5 season, we aren't looking for that kind of a sink.

Picked up Utopia on Prime, only ten EPs. Watched the first there, a set up naturally, really not sure what to make of it yet

I know of a stellar 1 season show(though it’s 20+ hour or more long eps) on Netflix if y’all have it and like Asian stuff. It’s a satisfying humorous tearjerker. Would make for an outstanding couples watch I think. Prepare for rollercoaster ride of emotions if y’all go for it.

Mr. Sunshine

Seconded

And after that check out IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY.
