Finished up The Detectorists. And now I’m sad it’s over.

Such a great show.

If you want something in the life affirming British show category...but starts off from a slightly darker premise...check out Ricky Gervais’s AFTER LIFE on Netflix. Excellent show that gave me similar vibes.

Sweet. I was wanting something similar.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

QT, you’re exactly right, this show is brilliant.

Plus Gervais humor has always been my thing.

Hey glad you dig it! Really well written stuff.

And yeah, I just finished S2 last night and it was just as excellent as S1. Enjoy!

Anybody else watching The Last Dance on ESPN?

It’s about the Bulls dynasty of the 90’s.

Only 2 episodes in but it’s fantastic stuff so far. I was a teenager during this, but there’s so much I don’t remember or want known at the time.

It’s worth a watch.

It's apparently a dumpster fire of terrible.

Heard same.
I loved SAC, am very reluctant to try this.

Watching Giri/Haji on Netflix. Only one ep in so far but looks interesting. Japanese cop goes to London regarding a Yakuza-linked murder which may involve his supposedly-dead brother. Hijinks ensue!

Quite a few subtitles, so if you're not into that you may have trouble. Give it a try though.

Started on my watch through of the latest season of Better Call Saul.

Something interesting I found out and never knew as I was going into viewing this latest season - the actor (Michael Mando) who plays Nacho is also the actor who voiced/mo-captured the main baddie, Vaas, in the game Far Cry 3. He is maybe the best thing about Better Call Saul, so fucking good, and finding out about his role as Vaas put a huge smile on my face. Makes total sense too. Damn that was a fun nugget to discover.

HOLY SHIT!!! Abyss have you seen this?

Yes. It has zero ties to the original series besides the name, but it does look good at least for the trailers. Will watch.

Anyone watching Season 3 of Westworld? Like most I loved 1 and was underwhelmed with 2. Hoping they can get it back with 3.

Watching it now. Was going strong til a middle ep kind of wavered but still in.

Forget what I said about wavering, the next ep was pure awesome.

Watching it got me to thinking. If they ever decide to take Gideon the Ninth (The Locked Tomb Trilogy) into the television/movie territory, Aubrey Plaza would be ideal for a role in that project somewhere.

Love After Life, great show. I know there are some Ricky Gervais haters out here, but it really is worth a watch.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Even if a person disliked his comedy, I find that this show showcases his absolutely STELLAR writing and flare for drama I didn't know he had in him. It's such a rewarding watch.

100%

I’ve got the season 2 finale to watch tonight and I’ve wrapped it up.

Excellent show.

Between this and the Detectorists, apparently o like British comedy. Any recommendations from you all?
