OUTER BANKS on Netflix. Fuck me...binged it in two days. FANTASTIC show. Starts out like Dawson’s Creek meets Clive Cussler, and then goes utterly batshit insane and entirely unpredictable in the best ways around episode 4 or 5...soooo good.

Just a blast. Can’t wait for season 2!

Just glanced at an ad and it looks like they gave DAWSON the RIVERDALE treatment.

Wait ... when did he get promoted to "other half"?

This is all going too fast young lady. Most unseemly. Quick, my smelling salts!

Yes! Absolutely one of the best comedies from the past decade IMO. Quality doesn't drop either!

Also Sombra I cleared it, she's ok ;)

Oh, that's OK then.

I take it you did the "full clearance"? With cavity search? Using gloves kept in a freezer?

We've been slowly trying to catch up on TERRACE HOUSE, but it's tough because my wife is constantly at her parents place as her dad is still in hospital...but we eek one episode at a time out...I want to just binge...so I'm tempted to go back to the first season on Netflix and re-watch it.

Anyone watching Season 3 of Westworld? Like most I loved 1 and was underwhelmed with 2. Hoping they can get it back with 3.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

I'm gonna due a binge watch, probably in a week or so. I stalled out on season 2 and need to pick up where I left off. It was confusing before I dipped out, so I anticipate I will not know anything that is going on. I will probably have to find a fan wiki or some other such fan site that summarizes what season 2 is about.

Finished up The Detectorists. And now I’m sad it’s over.

Such a great show.

Yes it is. Probably one of the sweetest yet genuinely laugh out loud shows I've seen.

If you want something in the life affirming British show category...but starts off from a slightly darker premise...check out Ricky Gervais’s AFTER LIFE on Netflix. Excellent show that gave me similar vibes.

I want to watch that QT but Gervais does not inspire me as an actual good actor. I loved him in The Office and also Extras but he's basically playing versions of himself there. Not sure he's got it in him to carry something a bit heavier like this.

The clips I've watched of After Life where he's arguing with his boss, are very Gervais being Gervais but also very funny.

Actually, his acting in this is both funny and dramatic...something I didn’t realize he had in him to be frank. He delivers here. And this is also something that is basically him playing a version of himself as well. Because the subject matter is darker (death of a loved one; feeling of despair with the world), I feel like it allows Gervais to showcase a talent I didn’t realize he had...to emote and make me emote. Many moments made me cry actually. It sounds like he dug into the death of his mother in real life for this...

It’s easily one of the best shows in Netflix and I might even say it’s his best work because it feels like his most intimate.
