I saw this for the first time last night and I agree! Thing is, the cast is actually pretty good with the second Lt from Band of Brothers and that blonde girl who was evil in 24 (Season 2 or 3, iirc) but I enjoyed it. Struck me as a slow burner and I quite like that. Sadly I have no idea what episode I watched or how far into the series we are. It was the one where the girl lost her thumb.

That episode was a bit sensible by comparison to the others. Nobody shagged for starters!

I think we are up to about episode 5 or 6. It has been moved from a decent Thursday night slot to a Saturday night graveyard slot so I'm going to have to remember to catch it on iPlayer from now on. I can't believe people in this country have too much good taste to like it!

just started watching it, one episode 5 season 1.
loving it.
is it wrong that I find Tina Fey obscenely hot?

Greatest. Show. Ever.

And not at all, Tina Fey is magnificent.

I was sold when Alex Baldwin upon being asked why he's wearing a tuxedo promptly answers: It's past six o'clock; what am I, a peasant?

I was sold when my friend showed me the MILF Island episode, where Jack goes:

'Lemon, remember this? Deborah and Shauna squaring off at Erection Cove.'
...
'I’m waiting for a call from Don Geiss. Do you think he’ll call me Jackie Boy? Then I’ll be at Erection Cove.'

It would appear that SyFy have bought the rights for a 13 episode Steven King adaptation based on his short story The Colorado Kid.

I have not read TCK however it would appear to be the usual King blend of fantasy and reality, there is some limited info about "Haven" here.

My name is H.D. and I love Glee.

Let the hazing commence.

House, and Dexter. I don't really watch anything else though on occasion the misses has subjected me to Grey's Anatomy which is terrible and makes me want to self mutilate.

@HoosierDaddy: I don't know how you can put yourself through that, but to each their own I guess.

Anyone else watch Better Off Ted? Started watching it last night, and it's pretty damn funny. Particularly some of the Verizion Dynamics ads, they're brilliant!

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Yay ! It would appear that the Sci Fi channel here in blighty will be showing the new ( ish for our colonial chums) series of V. I was quite excited when I heard about it, so for those who have seen it, is it worth my valuable time ?

Or was it crap ?

I've only seen trailers for it and it looks pretty ( as does the head lizard chick), is it faithful to the original series ( shiny modernising artistic license notwithstanding) or have they taken it in a different direction plotwise ?

I'm watching a show called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip atm... It's rather brilliantly written, and as someone who has worked in production (to a VERY limited extent) I am thoroughly enjoying it. :D

Yes, I love this show. Portia De Rossi is fantastic as Veronica.

Has anyone watched Dilbert? I recently found this cartoon, and its brilliantly funny.

Eh? The show was overblown melodrama and didn't have a hook strong enough to sustain itself. Its run ended quickly - and rightfully so.

Watch 30 Rock. Essentially the same premise with a much lighter tone and way better characters. That show has been airing for years now and is still going strong.

It walks the line. Could get better. Could fall into craptitude. Enjoyed the first four eps just enough to try it again in March.

It really starts to fall apart about halfway thru. It started strong enough but ultimately fails at making a show about making a show interesting. When your audience would rather be watching the show the show keeps telling you it's making, something is wrong. I wanted to like S60 but they didn't make the subject matter interesting and no amount of witty banter, even between Matthew Perry and Whatsisname from The West Wing, could save it.

I've given up on HEROES. I missed last week's 2hrs and couldn't even be bothered to online them. Someone let me know if they finally run Hiro thru a woodchipper.

SYTYCD is between seasons, which is for the best because the last three back-to-back (including Canada's version) kind of burned me out on it.

HOUSE and FRINGE are both back and this makes me happy.

I can't decide if i want to give THE HUMAN TARGET a try. The comic source material was really never that good but as a TV show concept it could work.

I am enjoying Chuck.

GF likes Leverage, which is an ok show, it has its moments.

watched the first episode of spartacus and began the second before i decided its best saved for a dark room. That show is basically a porno, in one scene rebus is getting a blow job while xena is getting played by a slave as they discuss some shit before it cuts to them making the beast with two backs against a pillar. this is about seven minutes into the second episode and the only other scene was a dream sequence shag between the spartacus and his wife. to say the show is a bit dirty is like saying sombra is partial to the ladies. Strangely i really like the show, its like a montage of every movie from the last three decades that had swords in them, down to the slow mo 300 style and the gladiator scenes where if you stretched the screen it could be russel crowe on screen. add in the baddy from the legend of the seeker and you have tv gold. this ones a keeper.

not an indication of my viewing habits, but just a tenuous link, finally finished watching season 2 of californication and that show just hit it out of the park. if you havent watched this show, start its very good. Gotta get season 3 down now and i think the fourth is running currently!
