Anyone watch The Magicians pilot based on the books by Lev Grossman?

Got that to watch tonight when I get home.

I saw it. At first I was a bit "Yeah, this is shit, this is just some weak ass wannabe secret society harry potter school show bullshit, but then I was like "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!??

Yeah, I believe I'll give this show a chance.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Hope it's better than the book then.

As it just read as "hey, this is like Harry Potter but with SWEARING and SEX"

Except more derivative.
meh. Link was dead :(

We just started on Fargo S2.

First two eps are good so far, such a similar style and feel to S1 but with new (although again similar) characters.

It really is so much better to be able to record a whole season and watch it all over a week or so.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Since the final season of Parenthood went up on Netflix, I finally decided to dive in, and I finished the whole thing in like 3 weeks. That show is super addicting. I won't say it's as good as FNL (season 2 excepted), but as the next best thing it did the trick. There's loads of drama, some melodrama, but it rarely (if ever) strays into soap opera. But it's also often hilarious, and the characters (including family dynamics) are so well drawn. And some interesting, presumably realistic glimpses into middle class life. Definitely some characters I'm really gonna miss.

That's the Netflix binge of a retired couple Worry.

Ugh! I did wake up today with pain in my hip, actually.

One thing I forgot to say is that Ray Romano's character Hank grew to be one of my favorite in TV history. Absolutely stellar performance on top of the writing.

The final episode of HBO's THE JINX was a mind-boggling hour of crazyness. The last few minutes are INSANE.
