Meh... you could flatten a mountain with the deafening scream of desperation that underlies this.

Neither Duchovny nor Anderson are interested... someone at Fox is just trying to spark interest and maybe draw them back. I'm sure Annabel Gish and Robert Patrick would be more than happy to return tho', since Sons of Anarchy and True Blood are done.

News from this morning.

David Duchovny has responded to Fox's desire to bring the show back, telling USA Today that he's "more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with Gillian (Anderson) and Chris (Carter)." He added:

I'm assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We'll see what form, how many (episodes). Certainly I can't nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We're all old, we don't have the energy for a full season.

[USA Today]

Saw that.

His last point is why this is unlikely, unless Fox can throw enough money at Anderson to draw her away from the BBC and find a decent writer to convince her it won't be the same mess as the last flic.

At root, i just think people are trying to overlook how bad the last two seasons of the tv show and the last movie were and recapture something that was already gone before it left.

See also NBC's new HEROES project.

A) The last two seasons didn't count clearly.

:p Why not limited edition style runs to bring the plot focus to 6-13 episodes. Tie up the loose ends.

CBS's SUPERGIRL TV show has its star now.

GLEE's Melissa Benoist. Solid choice, she's a good actor! I assume they'll dye her hair.

So I know I'm late to the game but the entirety of BBC's Merlin is now on Netflix in the UK. I never bothered with it the first time around but my wife loved it and so we're watching it through now. Genuinely entertaining!

Yeah, I really liked it for the first few seasons, but by the last season I just found it boring. The same cycle repeated over and over - it's very episodic and each new episode began to seem the same as all the previous ones.

David Tennant cast as Zebediah Kilgrave in Netflix's AKA JESSICA JONES series! Awesome.

For example those who watched both Broadchurch and Gracepoint... Is the killer the same person in BC? I'm watching Ep 10 of GP finally and all was just revealed. Creepy

...not wanting to spoil the British version for you (since it's MUCH superior and they have a brilliant second season airing now) all I will say is that BROADCHURCH's ending makes more sense full stop.

Ah, Sons of Anarchy 6 and 7 to watch finally, plus Vikings to start.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Does series 2 of The Fall finish off the story?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I just signed up for amazon prime - all SoA seasons on there for free, plus a ton of other stuff I missed which isnt on sky at the moment.

Watched 2 more episodes of season six last night. Fuck I'll be surprised if there's anyone left alive for season 7.

Just awesome though, each ep feels like a finale.

HELIX..... ah Helix.. last year's fun sf zombies/immortals/spies/flupocalypse arctic romp that became a relentless hatewatch of a mess by the end.

And now it's back for S2.

And the first two eps were kind of good.

Better than good. Not brilliant, but fun and engaging and wtf in the way the first few eps of S1 were. Kind of the show i would have expected if they had maintained the quality throughout the S1 instead of becoming the steaming pile of vampire polarbear shite we got by the end. The new virus is properly gross, the island setting is appropriately LOSTy but with fun horror cult serial killer elements. The surviving main cast are back and have some neat new developments.

This could really go any which way.

Fuck.

I felt much the same. It's entertaining and had a nice ending, but by the time I hit the ending I'd grown bored of the formula.

WOLF HALL

Anybody who is interested in the Tudor period or likes period dramas in general I suggest giving this a go - I can't remember the last time I watched a new series and was completely riveted. It's based on Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantell - chronicling the rise of Thomas Cromwell from Cromwell's perspective.

Mark Rylance is Cromwell. I'd not seen him before (he's predominantly a stage actor), but the man is King of High House Out-Acting The Rest of The Cast - and said rest of the cast is pretty damned impressive!

Ive got the 2 epi of Helix on the DVR just havent had time to watch them yet.

Ed: oh shit that was nice twist halfway through ep 1! I was like wtf.... Prob watch ep2 tomorrow

Ed2: Julia with silver eyes is fucking HAWT!!!

I just watched that episode (2) last night. I told my wife as it started, they've got through Ep3 to better catch my interest or I'm done. Ep 2 got my interest about 50% of the way there. Ep3 is going to have to improve that. I will admit that Julia, (silver eyed or not!) is a big reason I've hung on. Sarah has a pretty interesting reveal in Ep2...

ATLANTIS has been cancelled...which is fine by me, it never had the charm or MERLIN.

Mark Addy was gold in S1. I'm not heartbroken hearing this

And apparently it had nothing to do with ratings...the show was doing well in its time slot and everyone is surprised...but the BBC pulled it to "make room for other shows" so I'm guessing it was a budget thing.
