Went into Waterstones today and was disappointed not to see it in the SF&F section. However, success! It was in the New Hardcover Releases section instead, with £3 off as well.
Visit The Wertzone for reviews of SF&F books, DVDs and computer games!

My TTH is being delivered by fucking DHL???
Christ, it'll never get here. Ever. Or if it does, it'll be six months late, and smeared in goat feces.

What's wrong with DHL? Amazon.de uses it, and so far - knocks on wood - no book or DVD has been unduly delayed, lost, or damaged, and I order about a hundred every year.
Probably even more since the main bookstore here has employed some illiterate morons

Their American branch has a reputation as the worst of the four possible major shippers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL). Lots of lost, late, damaged, and mis-directed packages. That was a few years ago - maybe they've raised the quality since, but I'm not counting on it.
Oh, and they don't offer online package tracking, unlike FedEx and UPS (probably because if you could track your package, they wouldn't be able to hide what they did with it - like, say, routing it through Zimbabwe on a bicycle).
EDIT: I see that their website does, these days, have a tracking number section. I just haven't received a tracking number from Amazon.

Finished it about 20 minutes ago. Abyss, it's awesome. I feel sorry that you can't read it yet.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm worried it may not appear in my local bookshops.
When RG came out, did most bookshops have it? or was it an infrequent, slow trickle?

I can't believe it, they tried delivering it 2 minutes after I had left the house.
just my luck.
I can go pick it up from the local depot, but it says I have to wait 24 hours before trying. I think I'll go down a little before they close today, they normally have it back in by then.

So I just got to the point where that one guy with the sword and the other guy with another sword met up and were like 'lets go to this town where lots of people we don't know are' and they were like ok!
If you have read it, you will know what I am talking about. I am giddy and excited and I want to pretend I'm sick to leave work so I can keep reading since my lunch break is over.

Yea! I know exactly what you mean!
And when you know who popped out of nowhere and introduced himself in that bar! Totally awesome

I've had it for a few days now. Unfortunately not had time to just sit and read it. Did I get it before Abyss though? I don't know...

I always get a tracking number and can follow every step my books take - on the Amazon site as well as the DHL one.
I think a lot depends on the people on top who run a company, and they seem to have replaced the morons with some decent ones here. And that way took a lot of customers away from UPS.

Just got it today from Amazon UK, and I live in fucking OREGON! By sheer coincidence, my Amazon order of NoK arrived too.
In the nick of time, too: I'm camping all weekend, with copious amounts of bourbon and scotch. Looks like I'm going to be ignoring my friends and nature for 3 straight days, steadily consuming strong drink and soaking up sun while reading, while not doing much else...

Had you taken the least expensive shipping option, or the premium one?
(please say you went for the cheap one like me)

Well I thought I could wait until it hit US bookstores... I was lying to myself. I ordered it of Amazon.uk yesterday for around $35 freakin dollars. But at least I'll have it next week sometime.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.
