IMO it looks like the show's arc is going to something besides blue vs. red which, while it may make sense it certain respects (since Walter taught us a long time back there far more than two universes), also destroys some of the continuity. So, I am getting a little concerned about where we're heading with all this.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I'm loving the alt-time line. We see both Walters finding some form of absolution in our Peter. Noble is just brilliant.
I'm gonna guess that the rest of this season is spent in the Yellow-timeline. They need to deal with the new shape-shifters, and peter is going to be the bridge between these two universes. The end of the season will be Peter in the machine trying to jump back to the Red-Blue timeline. And since the writers/producers are not trying to wrap the story up this season, we will be left with unresolved answers as there is very little hope of it getting renewed again.

SPOILERS LATEST EPISODE. cant find the brackets on my phone, sorry.
They've been alluding to the fact that Nina cares about "the pattern" overall more than the present since season 1. I'm excited that they're finally dealing with this, along with Jones. I wonder why they're doing what they're doing.

Good ep but I am still lost as to where we're going with this. Maybe what they're trying to show is
Olivia appears to be the key here. Because she is how Walternate knew Peter was still alive in the original timeline. And Nina raised her in the alt timeline, and is messing with her mind somehow.

I actually thought last night's ep with Astrid and Astrid and the your-life-sucks killer was pretty good.
Sure it was another sympathetic baddie who essentially takes himself out and i hate those plots, but the cast was in good form, the two Astrids were great fun to watch, and that was ahell of a final scene.
I would have liked to see more about the Observers tho'.
Last week's ep with the village stuck between two universes was less impressive. Too predictable and felt like a spare X-Files script someone left lying around.

Um, were your episodes the other way around from mine? "Making Angels" was before "Welcome to Westfield".
Anyway, I thought "Welcome to Westfield" was a great episode. Creepy as hell, and even though they did the universe-merge-creates-monsters plot once (twice?) before, I thought this one still worked. And the final scene was one of the best clifffhangers of the entire run, IMO. My initial reaction was, 'Oh, oh, oh shit, WTF!' We are totally staying in the Amber universe now, boys and girls, you heard it here (checks upthread) seventh!

I watched them back to back, may have mixed them up.

Peter keeps going on about getting back to 'his' timeline, but i wouldn't take for granted that his timeline even exists anymore.
I think his use of the machine altered the original Blue and Red timelines significantly and there may be no going back.
I'm still bummed we didn't get a Council of Walters tho'.

I am liking the season, but I find it moving REALLY slowly a lot of the time. I'm less inclined to stay glued to an episode than I was in Season 3.
That said, it's still one of the best shows on TV and I shouldn't complain.

Last ep wasn't bad. I like how despite getting over his initial feelings, Walter is hostile to Peter the second he thinks Peter is a threat to Olivia.
I also REALLY enjoyed the way Lincoln and Walter intimidated the fuck out of fake-Nina.
Not sure Peter's whole 'i know it's you Olivia' thing made much sense but its excuseable in the circumstances.
Am VERY curious whether the last thing we saw of Liv, she was back in Blueniverse, or teleported to whereever real Nina was.
The hive-mind art'sem kids were interesting and really didn't get enough play.

This last episode kind of confused me. So September, the observer, accidentally distracted Walternate when he would have found Peter's cure and in saving Peter from drowning he was righting his mistake yet Henry, Peter and Other-Olivia's son was a mistake as he was supposed to end up with Olivia - but why is this being as how if September hadn't originally distracted Walternate, Peter would have ended up with Other-Olivia? Not to mention that the other observers lean more toward Peter ceasing to exist at all.

Holy Shit! My fave character from LOST is gonna show up on FRINGE! Desmond! (Henry Ian Cusick). An actor I absolutely love so I will be jazzed to see what his purposes are.

Honestly, I'm more invested in The River than Fringe at the moment. I thought the ending of last season was SO perfect, they should have just ended there.

That would have been an interesting way to end it.
But that wouldn't have been enough eps for syndication, which I think they're trying for.

Yeah syndication is 4 seasons right?
Pretty much yeah, with 88 episodes being seen as the lower threshold these days (100 is preferred). However, in recent years, with some seasons running at only 13 episodes, it may take over the 4 years to make it to syndication. this may also explain how CHUCK managed to get renewed for a 5th season despite only moderate viewing numbers (yet only a half season), which helped it up to 91 episodes.

Did anyone watch the 4/19 episode in the future? Awesomeness. Confused on how it applies to the story, though. Is it meant to show the future in the way they're currently going, and they need to make a change?
