OMG it's Yellow. I think Bubba wanted to run UB's revenge at the start of the new year. I doubt Holiday time will see much activity around here. If Bubba is saving his game for the next year, maybe someone will run a mini for the holidays.

Aaaaaaah, the curse of the holidays (seriously, people, what better way to spend your time away from work than to spend it in front of your monitor?). I'm up for a game now or in new year, either way.

I've finally come up with an idea for a new game, so add me to the end of the waiting list for...

SURVIVOR: MAFIA. (TMDI 3-5, 16-20 players)

Inspired by the TV show. Where there are no 'night kills' as there are in normal games, but players will be divided into tribes (may be multi-thread, not sure how we'd work that out here without making several forums or something and they may not want to add that extra housekeeping), will compete in challenges and vote each other off if they are on the losing end of a challenge. Players will have a variety of abilities available to them, including the ability to form and betray alliances, and what not.

In the end, there can only be one Sole Survivor, and that person will be determined by a jury of his or her peers that were voted off near the end of the game.

Should be a lot of fun, but we'll need active participation and not a bunch of modkills.

So next up is ST and Tapper with Alliance... they ready to go?

I need to just run a quick check over the possible endgame scenarios to make sure they're balanced, but otherwise it's about good to go. In a slight modification to the OP, it will need either 15 or 20 players, not 16 as previously advertised.

How does Wednesday evening start time sound? Will need to run it through with Tapper first...

Note that this is a merc game. If people would prefer not to have a merc game, I have the Citidels game also ready to run, which should involve some fun roleswapping.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I'll play in any bread and butter games that get going, but I'm not really a fan of the high TMDI games so I'll sit out.

The short of it; I think the game is ready, but I may not be :)

Right, I'll run the citadels game instead, unless anyone has an objection to that. It'd be nice just to swap the two games' positions in the list, but if you guys feel that is unfair I don't mind it getting shelved/pushed back.

I'm off to create a signup thread.

Sir Thursday

EDIT: Just noticed that the Citadels game I was referring to has never been added to the list, which may have lead to some confusion. See post #952.

I've just noticed that the mafia addicts anonymous group has disappeared from the top of the page. Anyone else having this problem?

The only usergroup still left intact apart from its tag, afaik, is the Abyssmal Army. Wheelchairs of War and LTHEC have gone as well.

Edit:
To my knowledge, there has been a bit of discussion on usergroups, and it seemed from that that most of the mods found them unnecessary - low activity and a feel of elitism that may scare away new visitors / prevent them from becoming active members of the community.

So did the threads get deleted, moved... or what?

I guess I can just go and look in the normal mafia forum and answer my own question.

ETA - having said that, though, isn't it up to the members of any particular group as to how active they like their discussion forum to be? Either get rid of them all, or get rid of none of them.

Well, it's not gone because I can still see it, and as far as I can tell, you ought to be able to aswell, the forum permissions say you can.

So the next ones in the lineup after the card game are Gem, Bwgan and Impirion (or ST again). Any of those ready to go? I assume not Bwgan since she's still AWAL. Alternatively my next one (4 down) is do-able if none of those are.

Mine is pretty much ready to go, it's simple enough game. But I'd like someone that can take a peak at the balance and stuff, because I've never run a mid level game before, and I'd like to be sure it's properly tmdi 5-6. If that person would like to co-mod too, I'd be very grateful.

I tweaked the list a bit, moved Thursday's other game below Drek's, move Bwgan's coming one to inactive until we hear from her again.

Gem is next. I'd (PB) offer to help mod but I'd really rather play since I've sat out for over a month of games.
