Sorry, I've been away. <blushes>
I will update the submission thread now.
Please send submissions in Word or Works if possible. Or you can do what sixty did and put it on the web and I can grab it from there.
HoosierDaddy has graciously volunteered to be a judge, which makes 3. Judges, please expect a PM with details soon. If not today, then tomorrow.
Cheers!

Huzzah! I'm excited to read all the submissions! Good luck everyone!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

It says 1st September in the OP. Which is actually not as far away as it seems

1st of September? Wow, I need to get cracking. I wanted to judge this, cos I'm lazy, but I guess now I'll have to write something if I want to participate. Perhaps a recounting of my recent seizure and my spacey adventures while doped up on morphine...
By the way Sixty, that's a great story; I'll be hard pressed to beat that.

Loved it.
maybe shouldn't ask it, but it's part of something bigger, maybe a chapter, I assume?
(Just in a sense that if it is, I'd love to read more!)
