Holy shit I got my wish though I'm upset at who got the fury unleashed on them.

Also Rider in SN was nothing but a damn joke compared to Alexander but it's obvious that was the case to make room for Gilgamesh.

Man those Veil's just have rotten luck.

    Fate IS FUCKING AWESOME!

You've not even reached the best entry in the series either.

Today's Menu for the Emiya Family.

I never expected you to rate the SoL cooking show above the preteen magic lesbians show.

    Wholesome cooking >>>>> yuri lolis.

This man knows where its at

I forgot to never drink hot beverages while paging through this forumn. Yall owe me a new gaming magazine....

I wasn't sure where to go after Apocrypha, not sure I'd like the jump from map changing battles to making omelettes but you know what? I'll give it a shot...

Ok, I found time to watch the first 2 episodes of Reincarnated as a Slime. It's alright, a bit funny, a bit interesting to see where things go, etc... the only problem I have with it is that the OP shows us right off the bat that he's going to get a humanoid form and make a pretty ordinary isekai party of humans... like, even if it was going that direction I'd rather not know in advance. Episode 2 would be far more interesting if it was plausible he will actually stay as a slime and lead the goblins into some big journey or societal reformation or who knows what, but instead we know from the OP that this is just some small introductory bit and we'll be swiftly moving on towards the real main plot in another episode or two.

I agree with all of this.

From reddit, a more in depth explanation. Post is from this past April.

    Quote

No need to speculate Jim is very open about what happened. Basically life got in the way. Since Skin Game was published he got divorced, moved, had dental emergencies, had delays building his new house, moved in with his fiance. Basically the last few years have been really rough, and he hasn't had a good environment for writing... but in that time he's still managed to publish Aeronaut's Windlass, the first book in a whole new series he had to plan out, and complete the stories in Brief Cases, and write several of the Dresden Files comic books. A lot of writers out there are slower than Jim is at his lowest productivity.
Recently he's been trying to get back on track. About 6 weeks ago at ECCC he said he has 6ish weeks of writing left on Peace Talks, finishing sometime end of April. So, unless there have been additional delays he should be done sometime soon. After that the book is off to the publishers, and it depends on their schedule but he estimates release in September to November.
After this he's going to try to get back to his usual two books a year pace.

How do I E-mail him sympathy rep?

    Watched Goblin Slayer ep 1...

    THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY!

    DUDE!

    Spoiler

To back the admittedly slightly fascistic campaign of the Slayer, you must first understand why he hates the Goblins with such vehemence.

Also I complain about 'where Kamuy S2' and later that day it drops. Niceu.

I mean, given that goblins have a tendency of doing this thing often, i can understand our Knights personal quest. Greater atrocities and genocides have been waged for far less. (usually for less noble intentions as well)

Im slightly curious now about whether a fantasy series exists where on the one hand, you have the goblins Dolmen is talking about vis a vis a fascist dictatorship intent on wipping out these goblins. You'd think with such an obvious threat and the racial aspect, humanity would easily go onto a crusade of sorts to exterminate goblins.

That would be REALLY interesting to watch/read.

especially if they focused on analogues for each races MC, i.e. show savage goblins decimate Human MC's family then switch to crusade Human retaliation on peaceful Goblin Tribe leaving Goblin MC to fend for him/herself.

This would need an Abercrombie-esque approach to wars. No preaching of morals, just pure character growth through tough decisions in tough situations.

having the MC's actually become as bad as the war acts that made them would add that extra bit of spice...

Just spent half an hour or so browsing through your pics. Great stuff.
If your muse strikes, the scene with Ganoes Paran and the dead hounds (GotM) would be great. I liked the character already, but that scene, that he could see the beauty in those beast, made me love him.
