    Really? Way up there in the NW of Iran? I honestly didn't think wine would be allowed to be produced. Well, fancy that. I'd love to travel to Iran and spend some time there one day. Maybe do an "In the footsteps of Alexander" type tour. Or just wander about randomly.

    but the wine is made in Orumieh .

    I just did some googling of Pasargad, and found info on Pasargadae. Interesting stuff, good old Cyrus :)
    I don't suppose they grow grapes in Shiraz any more?
