I can tell Snyder had lots of fun developing Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan because he could push visual boundries and expand on their depth.. but this of course rushed the ending..

I'm glad superhero movies are starting to get darker (seems comic books in general went from primary happy colors to darkness and deathl).. but it doesnt make a movie cool on its own.. it makes me think the viewer only watches comedies and TV dramas and are easily shocked when their movie experience isn't what they expected and therefore hail praise upon it..

What do you mean people don't make 2 part movies? Kill bill? no? i guess its my only example though.
I generally liked the movie, except for certain parts.
However having never read the comic book i have to make the statement that i thought Dr. Manhatten was a bitch. He got all sobby in the movie and such, when he can do ANYTHING! Even if he did give that girl cancer he could just CURE it. He can manipulate matter, HE CAN DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!! (Aside from manipulating time, but cancer shouldn't be so hard, or turning all of Russia into flowers). It angers me so much. And that my favorite character bit the dust. But that is beside the point that Dr. Manhatten sucks. Blue penis.

Allot of the people had already died before he found out about it...in any case, he thought he would still be giving people cancer. Even if he can save a few he surely wont know who he all effected.
And we dont know he can cure cancer...he cant do ANYTHING...he can do allot...but not anything. Could only stop like 99% of he missiles in a attack for instance

its hard having an overpowered character like Manhattan around and still have problems like war and cancer.. he seemed to add to those problems or just didn't care.. a mind like that will tend to wander to bigger things..

I want to like the movie, but one movie alone isn't enough to do it all justice.. everyone brings so much to the table that the sense of time seems rushed beyond the point of reason..

Well why I thought he couldn't stop all the missles was because he couldn't control time. Which made sense to me, just because you are pure energy doesn't have anything to do with time. But if you can minipulate matter than cancer shouldn't be a big thing, just repair the cells or just kill the cancerous ones. As soon as he could replicate himself I began to doubt that he can't stop all the missles. Just think about it, if he made enough replicas he could get em all, he could outnumber them all.
And so yeah people died before he found out, but that doesn't mean he can't fix things. I just think he was a bitch because he let such petty human emotions rule his life.

It's not going to go down in history as the best comic film ever or anything that impressive, but it was a good, story, well told and fun to watch. Blue penis. What amazes blue penis me is the sheer blue penis internet vitriol along the lines of blue penis 'how dare they cut the black blue penis freighter parts' and 'how DARE they change the blue penis ending!?!?!'.
