Many thanks to the overseas visitors who have left a number of bottles of some of the most disgusting drinks I've ever tasted in my life!

I hope you're not talking about the Sliwowitz... :D

I want to thank once more Hetan and Mal for their hospitality - you guys are really wonderful, and Mr. B and I are both looking forward to meet you again some time :D

It was really an awesome weekend - both the signing and the BBQ - and being able to meet SE and his family and to chat with them on Saturday was a great experience.

I'm happy to have met all of you guys - the English weather and I don't seem to get along very well, but you have kept me warm (or was it alcohol...? errm... nevermind...) In any case, now I finally have a proof for my Ma that you are not as scary as she thought... :p

As soon as I figure out how to do it, I'll post my collection of pics.

@ Tiste: Thanks for remembering that promise. Your Austrian Fanclub feels honoured. :p
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

OK - where to start with the thank-you's?

First of all a huge thank you to SE and his lovely wife for coming to the bbq and for being so patient with everyone.

A huge thank you to Simon Taylor of Bantam/Transworld who took the time on a weekend, to visit with a bunch of geeky fans. You are a star sir!

Many thanks to the overseas visitors who have left a number of bottles of some of the most disgusting drinks I've ever tasted in my life! - You were all awesome - thanks so much for making the effort to attend.

Thanks to Illy - I enjoyed spending yesterday morning wiping Chunder streaks off the bathroom wall :D - I'm not sure if the full bottle you left in the study after you fell asleep there contains mead or urine- it looks very suspicious though.
Thanks to Broody for organising the picture - it was great :p
Thanks to Bubba for cakes - we had two huge chocolate cakes and the boob cake, because I thought it was appropriate.
Thanks to Clare Erikson for taking the time to advise Cougar on what to do with his hair - she made his day! :p
Thanks to Paleman for the Mojito's and Sandra his wife for being a trooper and helping out with the braii.
Thanks to Cougar and Rich for a most entertaining conversation once the children had all gone to sleep and again the following morning.

and thanks to my awesome husband Bill, whose awesomeness goes beyond words

ditto, except for the last bit. I will comment further in a day or two, but at the moment I am just too preoccupied with the fact that I have about half of Dust of Dreams to read and a sling! Mwahaha :D

@Cougar: dude, are you trying to get me in trouble? I'm sure I specified that your least socially acceptable personality was like the most ignorant of Americans, the sort that assume that their opinion is the only worthwhile one and everyone who does not share it is not just different but automatically wrong. I know perfectly well that the vast majority of Americans are not like that...they have egregious faults of a completely different nature, as do we all :p

edit: had to remove some smileys as there is a draconian limit.

Huge thanks to Hetan and Mal for what was a fabulous BBQ! Meeting so many fellow enthusiasts in such a hospitable venue was just great. :D

A big shout out to all you fanatics. You were very nice and very easy to talk to. I love you all. :p

And thx to Steve and Steve's family. This was really beyond the call of duty and very much appreciated.

Like Tiste, I am on Facebook and I would love to be internut friends with you all :D

Thanks to everyone for posting the pictures and in some cases far too much information. Sounds like a really good time was had by all and if there is a further repeat I would hope to be fit enough to head down to Cambridge.

You were my favourite person there. Especially once I found out your name was Vader... Yes, I know it was spelt differently, but this spelling makes me happy. :p

As for next year, there is already a Gammel Dansk chugging contest planned, and it's going to be held either in Norway or the Isle of Man. :D

I had no idea Brood was trying to lick me...I would be scared but it happens so I've got some tolerance. I'm really glad I managed to escape catching an STD too.

I'd like to reiterate how good it was to meet you all. I was thinking of some of you who couldn't make it at the time (Shiara, Cam, Mandy etc.), hopefully in the future. Thanks to Bill and Hazel. Next Year I'm staying up all night, it's a promise. I was falling to sleep at work today as it was...

I read that before, Coco and it made me laugh a lot... Seen as a week before, Erikson had asked us "You going to the barbecue? I'll see you there!" :D

Oh, and one more thing, it is a fairly scary feeling to walk into a gardenful of people, most of whom you have never met before, and every time you say "Hey pleased to meet you, I'm Simeon" have the other person (without fail) reply "Yeah, I know."
It was disturbing, to say the least...
