Happened across a pristine copy S. M. Peters' Ghost Ocean at Half Price Books. That sucker's mine. Too bad I just started a new book last night...

SM Peters needs more love. His stuff is utterly underated and worth your dollars.

I bought Storm Front too, lol. I'd been pondering it for a while but then my brother also told me how awesome the series is so I figured why not? ...

I am this Hurr Durr! Went by Silvenquesti for awhile, but got bored with it.
And QT is right, (as usual) you got two very good books.

I actually bought several Dresden books today myself. And my fifth(?) copy of GotM. I seem to keep giving them away...

On the Kindle, picked up Stonewielder by ICE. Also, A Cruel Wind and A Fortress in Shadow by Glen Cook - the Dread Empire books seem to have been added recently to the Kindle library, as well as a lot more Cook books.

I haven't bought anything for my kindle in a while...for that matter I haven't bought any books.

Though I DID get one sent by the publishers unasked for called THE PARADISE PROPHECY by Robert Browne which seems like Dan Brown-ish thriller concerning John Milton's Paradise Lost, but why read about the war between fallen angels and regular angels on earth in a thriller book when I could just read Hellblazer and be happy.

I actually started to read it and one chapter would be decent, and then in the next one the character who dies (acting as catalyst for the story) is a world-wide Christian music superstar...who spends her death chapter talking to a not-there demon in her head that is trying to get her to shoot drugs like she used to.

It's like a thriller with a biblical/supernatural macguffin at its heart and I find myself put off by the "churchyness" of it. Especially because one of the main characters is a drunk theology professor at a southern baptist school and his first chapter concerns his students booing him for talking about Biblical stuff and being more realistic about it.

seriously?

Oh wow...PASS.

in lieu of the fact that Monday was payday, and tomorrow I get to collect my check (also, the fact that I haven't really bought a whole bunch of books since ADWD was released), I did a Chapters run today.

Pierre Pevel's "The Alchemist in the Shadows" (The cardinal's blades Book 2) is finally available in small paperback
Also grabbed the 6th book of "Shadows of the Apt"
and also, Grave Thief, book 3 of Tom Lloyd's "Twilight Reign". I recall that I really didn't like book 2. But even when I read it (I think over 2 years ago), I realized that my perception was blurred with unfair comparisons to the greatness of MBotF. So I want to give this series another try, esp since I spoiled myself by reading book 4's back cover to find out that the character who most annoys me in the series gets better.

Picked up James Enge's Blood of Ambrose and The Wolf Age today. I loved "The Singing Spear" in the Swords & Dark Magic anthology, and am looking foward to reading more about Morlock Ambrosius.

Cracking :D

I bought three Alastair Reynolds paperbacks: Revelation Space, House of Suns and Terminal World, and China Mieville's Perdido Street Station for Kindle.

I used to own Revelation Space and Perdido Street Station, but got rid of them both and now want to re-read them. I need infinite shelf space so I don't have to keep getting rid of old dusty stuff to make room for new shiny stuff. ^_^
