It was delivered a while ago, but to my home address, so I only just picked it up: Ink, by Hal Duncan. An ARC I got free for being among the first to sign up on thebookofallhours.co.uk.

Belatedly Knight of Knives by Esslemont. God bless waterstones in glasgow, for some reason, it's got a run of these and the B&B novellas. so my pay on friday is getting spent on the novellas.

The Original Illustrated "Strand" Sherlock Holmes Midpoint Press Facsimile.
HUGE book. Much bigger than Ilustrated LOTR. Really beautiful book (and not too expensive for such a book, £20).

The Bonehunters - Steven Erikson
Temeraire/His Majesty's Dragon - Naomi Novik
Un Lun Dun - China Mieville

That should keep me occupied for a few months :)

Still have to finish that damned Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell before I can start on The Bonehunters :)

The Fall of Reach ... some halo book.

I swear, I went in there looking for The Reality Dysfunction by Hamilton but it wasn't in. And I really needed to get home to the toilet so I panicked because I had nothing to read ... I liked the game!

Youre a horrid man. You could have grabbed anything on the bargin bin in front of the register and gotten something better. Hell, a Period Coloring Book would have been just as interesting, and certainly the source of a lot more laughter.

I got a Nabokov collection for the woife. In hardcover, for 100$ :) I rules.

I know ... I feel horrible. The book is pretty bad. he has made it so its practically the same as the game, and it just makes it dumb, and the game dumb as well.

I'm taking it back.

Cities In Flight, by James Blish, and Perdido Street Station by China Mie-withthedashontop-ville.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
