if you have a massive list of stuff you want keep an eye out for book fares and second hand shops, you'll be amazed what you'll find for 50p.

also, amazon used, you get some great deals there (just keep an eye on the postage costs) and I've yet to get something that is in bad condition

eta - some of my last week purchases are starting to come in, City of Stairs arrived today, purchased off the back of...PG's praise?

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Walking bout a shopping centre here, stopped at bargain books, 3 for £5.
Ah well why not?

3 Bernard Cornwell thrillers, Sealord, Wildtrack and Crackdown.
Just lifted and purchased, read the blurb over lunch, sound like utter tosh but we'll see

"Space Raptor Butt Invasion" sounds bad enough, and then you see "Oregon Patriots Occupied My Butt" ... ^_^

Oh, it gets better:

"Fingered by the Fail Whale"
"My Racist Robot Lover"
"Womanized by Idris Elba Playing James Bond: An Erotic Parody"

:D

I feel like these are titles of high intrigue and -- perhaps -- high quality.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

If nothing else it should be well-constructed.

Hmmm, I foresee a new drain on Macros' monthly finances once he gets his current bills paid off.
