Feist is pretty cheesy, but worth a read. Just bear in mind that every series seems to follow the same pattern (see Star Wars IV, V, VI).
Debut novel 'Incarnate' now available on Kindle

Picked up TWELVE KINGS IN SHARAKHAI by Bradley P. Beaulieu as I read a short story featuring the protagonist a few months ago and loved it.
Also, it's nice to start into an eastern flavoured desert-set fantasy series.

Picked up the last Dept. 19 book DARKEST NIGHT by Will Hill. It will be nice to finish this series. I actually had no idea it was out so soon.
Also grabbed one of the three new YA Star Wars books WEAPON OF A JEDI by Jason Fry (which details a story about Luke after ANH before EMPIRE)...these are slickly made little hardcovers (with art by the brilliant Phil Noto) which feature aspects that are easter eggs for THE FORCE AWAKENS in them...which is cool.

A few weeks back I bought a TPB edition of A Crown for Cold Silver by Alex Marshall on a whim-the blurb reminded me a bit of "Best Served Cold", as did the cover.
Apparently, that book is now a big deal, b/c my local Chapters today had a whole shelf of 'em
Today I grabbed:
Iron Jackal by Chris Wooding, the 3rd Ketty Jay book
Of Bone and Thunder Chris Evan's take on Vietnam War with elves.
and also
Welcome to the Madhouse , which is a sci-fi thriller by S.E. Sasaki. The author was doing a book-signing in the store and gave me a bookmark. I liked the blurb, asked her more about the book, we started talking. She asked me who I think is the best SFF author. I, naturally, said, SE. Turns out she was an advance reader for a bunch of SE and ICE's books. Small world,
Had a lovely chat, bought a book, got it signed, told her I'll tell her what I though on her web-site.
Oh, I looked for "Aeronaut's Windlass", too. I'm a sucker for steampunk, so I was actually willing to break my own rule and buy a Butcher book in hardcover. The store's supposed to have 20 copies, and one of the clerks spent about 40 minutes searching all over the store for them, with no luck. I'm not overtly upset, b/c I've got enough to read right now, but the guy seemed incredibly apologetic.

Well, a few might have heard of it, but today I bought "Gardens of the Moon" by fantasy author Steven Erikson. I think I can recommend it to most of you.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master that's all.'

Sounds a bit rubbish tbh the Moon doesn't have any Gardens on it,plus what does an author know about lunar horticulture?

Spent some birthday money and ordered the Dresden Files: Down Town hardcover, plus some dirt-cheap TPBs of This River Awakens and The Devil Delivered and Other Stores (both of which I'd read and loved, but didn't yet own.)
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

It's a metaphor, it doesn't have to make sense.
