Found a copy of Shadows of the Sun: Stories in Honor of Gene Wolfe at HPB today. So excited!
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
―Gene Wolfe, The Citadel of the Autarch

Kindle: Godsdoom, Mechanique: A Tale of Circus Tresaulti, the Kingdom of Gods, and the Waking Machine.

Audible: Touch and the Mountain of Black Glass (Otherland #3)

All per recommendations from this board, thus all probably very good.

Went into Chapters today, expecting a release of the MMPB e-print of Ketty Jay #3, "The Iron Jackal".

Turns out, it comes out March 1, 2016

was highly dissapointed, and I had to go back to a half-an-hour long lineup to buy a transit pass.

So I picked up Tad Williams' attempt at urban fantasy, "The dirty Streets of Heaven, for 10 bucks.

Went on a minor spree today, downloaded:

The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Rowlbraith
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
The Empire of Light by Gary Gibson
The Girl Who Soared Over Fairlyand and Cut the Moon in Two by Catherynne M. Valente
The Shadowed Sun by NK Jemisin

The last three being installments in series that I've been enjoying.

I also have to stick in a pre-order for The Black Dream by Col Buchanan which comes out next week (fucking finally! Now is the time for all a'yall who haven't started the Heart of the World series yet to do so), but tomorrow I guess, it's way past my bedtime.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

I got my order of WoT books 9 and 10 today. When i opened them I found a coupon for $5 off, so I used it to get the last 4. All in all, I got the last 6 books hardcover for about $33 including shipping. I love bookcloseouts.

Happy day today.

AND.

the mmpbs for both Skin Game AND Words of Radiance

Once I'm done my current reads, I'll have to shelf my current "one book for commute, one book for home" rule, until I'm done both of these.

Today I bought R. M. Meluch's Tour of the Merrimack: Wolf Star

I'm going to proceed with reading it forthwith and if it is just as good as the first, The Myriad, then I will enjoy it thoroughly because the first book was bloody good SciFi that I highly recommend you pick up.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Just ordered ABADDON'S GATE (Expanse #3). Damn I love this series.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Between you reading Bakkake and me reading about vomit zombies, there is a LOT of spewing fluid.

Got the Dynamite comics book bundle. Entirely for the DRESDEN FILES: WAR CRY collection, tho a steampunk GN from the guy who writes FABLES isn't a bad bonus, and some of the other stuff looks good, if a little heavy on the teenaged boy pandering chainmail bikini type stuff.

Last two were The Erectium and the Tapdatassuli.

As in David Eddings. I've been Bakked upside the face once too often by the thing called Sarcellus.

How are the first two, btw?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I loved them. Very reminiscent of Narnia or The Golden Compass.
