Picked up the MMPB of A Dance With Dragons last night. Hoping to get to it and AFFC sometime next year. (Fingers crossed.)

Been on a freak'n tear over at audible lately: Ian Tregillis Something More than Night, Dyachenko's the Scar, Swanwick's Iron Dragon's Daughter, Cook's the White Rose, Sullivan's Theft of Swords, Memories of Ice, and Caves of Steel.

forgot to mention,, the other day I picked up a copy of Iain M Banks - THE ALGEBRAIST,, this my first Banks book,, picked it up on a whim on the 2ndHBS,, so have to pick all the rest after i test-read how good Banks writing is with a few chapters,,

Last friday had to buy a book for a friend's birthday. And Chapters had a "buy 3, get 1 free" deal.....

Got "Red Country", the second Expanse book "Caliban's War", and a random impulse buy--"Initiate Brother" duology by Sean Russel. It's an Asian-setting fantasy, and seems to be complete series, and I haven't read one of those since "Under Heaven" (and I'm waiting for "The river of stars" to go mmpb)

The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard

I bought books 2 and 3 (Silverthorn and A Darkness at Sethanon) in Feist's Riftwar saga. Its been a while since I read Magician (liked it a lot too). I've been considering going further into the Riftwar cycle but have been put off by the sheer number of books and the tepid 'reviews' the later books get.

Ordered Dresden books 9 and 10 as well.

I picked up book two of Simon Scarrows Roman series, "The Eagle's Conquest"

I also placed an order for "Dark Heresy: Demon Hunters"
That's actually a sourcebook for a roleplaying game, so not exactly literature, but still technically a book
