I don't know if any of you guys follow American College Football...but I'm a diehard Georgia Bulldog fan.

I can't believe they still use the stinking BCS to determine the championship...computers?!?!? DECIDING who is BEST!?!?!? Argh!! It's enough to drive a man to type selected words in ALL CAPS!!

I love the NFL and Soccer because of playoffs...why oh why can't we have a playoff?!?!

Go Buckeyes. And Mizzou. I know it looks suspicious that my two teams I root for are having great seasons, but I went to MIzzou, and lived in Columbus while my wife went to Ohio State. So, I am not just jumping on those teams because of good seasons. (Now would be a bad time for someone to mention that in the pros, I root for Green Bay, who is also having a great season. I rooted for them from the day I started watching football. The whole Dad's team story.)

BCS is not cutting it. Something must be done. Blame the Rose Bowl.

Some interesting points:
1. Notre Dame is being treated like a tough non-con game. Bullshit. This is from nbc sports though, and nbc has a contract with ND.
2. SEC has some seriously weak non-con schedules
3. I'll admit it, so does the Big 10 and my Buckeyes. But hey, at least we're playing USC.

Hawaii deserved the shot they had. They earned it going undefeated in a season full of multi-loss contenders.

I would have rather seen Georgia/USC in the title game though.

I like that link RLY. Pac10 always has the best non-conf schedule, so I'm glad they get some recognition somewhere.

Hey chaps, I've always been impressed by the support for College football which is espcially good when you consider it's essentially an under U22 competition. Belive me playinh Rugby for a UK University sucks in comparison to the money and support this sport has.

But I wondering: one of my friends once told me that college football is more popular than the NFL, in your opinion is this true?

perhaps as a technicality. there are thousands more college football players and hundreds more teams than the nfl. so you're going to have more friends and family and regional relationships with the teams.

In some regions, yes. In the Southeast, it is seriously a way of life. It is more popular there than anywhere else in the country. People out on the West Coast like USC but really only when they are good. Take Mississippi State, for example. They finally had a winning season this year but the stadium is sold out no matter what.

In the Northeast the NFL rules. In the midwest, it depends. Of course fans of Ohio State and Michigan are numerous...I'd say it's a good mix of both in that region.

The funny thing is after the game is done. Fans from both teams will basically go looking for each other at the bars....fights always follow.

It's also hilarious finding ways to sneak alcohol into the stadiums. Not that we aren't all tanked before hand...but you gotta keep the buzz going

Ohio State is without a doubt more popular in Ohio than the Cleveland Browns. A popular saying in Columbus, where Ohio State is at, is "We don't need an NFL team, we've already got one." It's rabid. In Cleveland itself, the Browns might take it, but barely.

See one of my friends is from Cleveland and says the Browns are the bigger deal. That if the Browns won the Super Bowl it would be a way bigger deal than the Ohio Stat Suckeyes winning the National Championship, in the entire state, not just Cleveland.
