It does amuse me when Man U fans say Chelsea have bought success. :p

£30mil Rio, £20mil Ronaldo, £25mil Rooney, £15mil Carrick, etc etc. I know the money was gained more fairly, but still. Mind you, could be worse, you could be Liverpool- £50mil a season and nothing to show. :p :p

Mark my words, the Russian police will go after Man U fans tonight, there'll be a dodgy decision, Chavski will defend constantly and nick it undeservedly 1-0 due to said shocking penalty decision or whatever.

I'll watch, but I expect a turgid "english" affair.

Do you really think that EUFA will let Abramovich get away with something like that?

But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I think there is a distinction being made between generating income through your activities as a football club ie: popularity and being supported by the ill gotten gains of someone who grew rich by deceiving poor Russians.

I'd expect someone to point out East Asian sweat shops at this point but I reject this because it's a flaw with all of Western society, not just football

The point is, Man U have built up a team (mostly - obviously they have to buy some players in, but there is a lot of young ones coming up through the ranks as it were.) That's what makes them so successful - the 1999 treble winning team were a team that had worked together for a long time, and were cohesive. Chelsea are a bunch of good players thrown in together. That's not necessarily a good team...

There'd be nothing they could do about it. Once the game's over you cant re-run it, there are so many bad crucial refereeing decisions that one or two more wont be a surprise.

World Cup Italy 1938 is the most obvious example. The most blatant bribery and match fixing in history, and Italy won it. To this day, FIFA and UEFA uphold their status as honest winners.

I wonder at the lack of reaction to Shinawatra's ill-gotten gains being poured into Mancity. Would it be because he's not winning anything? :p

Good first half, eventually. United dominant throughout really, and deserved the lead, but that equaliser really put the cat among the pigeons, hoping for an excellent second half.

Incidentally, what's all this bullshit about match fixing? United get even more blatant refereeing decisions for them than anyone else - look at Scholes the other week, for example. Could have been sent off two or three times, only got one yellow, and how many penalties have opposing teams had at Old Trafford this season?

And for those crapping on Fat Frank (in general, no one has specifically that I noticed), that's 20 goals in the season and the first player ever to score in all every round of the champion's league...

But rarely performs in an England shirt! That's what pisses me off. He promises so much, yet delivers so little in a shirt I care about. Reason enough for scorn, of course!

Quite literally can't watch the final right now. Mother fuckers, I'm shitting bricks!

EDIT: 5 mins later, I'm going back in! Wish me luck unless you're a Chelski supporting scum sucker douche bag :p

I would have laughed so bad if Terry had scored so Ronaldo finished his season by making a complete twat of himself :lachen70:

well damn.
I thought it was chelsea when Ronaldo missed. The fact it was that arrogant asshole was the icing on the cake.
There was 4 of us, 2 chelski fans and 2 pool fans, all rooting for chelsea in a bar heaving with scum fans (when I say fans, I obiously mean 1/4 real fans then the rest the tag alongs united gained when beckham was there and for winning the prem last season)
We held our own, gave abuse as well as was given.
When ronaldo's was saved I'm fairly confident I would have shit myself in delight had I not performed a thorough bowel evacuation pre match.
When Van der sar NEARLY saved the one after ron the united fans though he had, they went bananas, I think I actually did pee a little that time. It was fantastic.
Then Terry gave them the lifeline the needed.
arsehole
I live with 3 united fans, theres 5, 5 united fans staying at my house tonight.
2 of them are the wonderous people that cause everyone to hate united, fucking mouthpieces.
I heard that the Manchester sperm bank ran out of donors today.
All the wankers are in moscow.
well 2 are in belfast.

You hear Alex Ferguson went up to Avram Grant with the trophy and said "Look, it's like the Chocolate Orange. It's not Terry's it's mine!" :p

Flipping heck, it was close, but I am glad we won int he end... my heart stopped when Ronaldo missed that penalty!

Good exciting game, though, Dancer you were right. Have rep or something. :p

That was an enjoyable match. Ronaldo got let off the hook big time...I can't believe Terry shanked it!

oh, and what about rio trying to give cole a face lift.
i heard the rabid (read, fucking moronic) united fans behind me saying cole should have got yellowed for appealing for a CORNER after th eincident.

I would have given a pen for ridiculously dangerous play and yellowed rio.

There's only one thing worse than a scouser, Macros. And that's a fake scouser!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

What was Ronaldo doing??? Everyone knows the stoppy-starty penalty NEVER works. But NEVERMIND!!

I wonder if Terry has stopped crying yet!! Man alive, penalty shoot outs are awful. Glad it all hinged in an Anelka miss/van der's save, arrogant French twat :p

I'm pissed and I'm gonna be late for work tomorrow, dah dah dah dahhh :p

I think it is a shame to end it on a penalty shoot out, but meh. Nothing for it. I was hoping for a straight out win. It was especially a shame as Chelsea really played well in the second half... It was a fantastic game and I'm glad Man U won, obviously. :p
