Is the korvalah-demon Trull "befriends" in Midnight Tides the same as the one that is killed in Gardens of the Moon, or are there two demons named Pearl?

I think they are two different Demons spelt similar Grimhilde. The one in GotM was i believe snake / dragon like and the one Trull befriends is like a tall humanesq shape.

I think...
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

Pearl in GotM is a type of demon we don't know much about. I remeber it as being like a glowing ether. It was a mgical type demon capable of destroying a city. Pretty impressive by the way ;)

I don't remember the Demon in MT called pearl. But I thought it was one of of the demonraces called Kenryllalalala, don't remember the spelling but there are two casts one is a peasant people the other are rulers. They are huge humanoids who are very tough and quite destructive.

It was one of them that ripped Nightchill in pieces.

Definently not the same anyway.

Had to look it up, but the Kenyll'rah demon Trull helps in MT is Lilac, not Pearl.

The Imperial Demon used by Quick Ben in GotM was named Pearl, but it was a Korvalah under Tayschrenn's binding.

Well the original poster talks about a Korvalah demon named Pearl that befriends Trull. That didn't happen.

There was a Korvalah demon named Pearl in GotM. Rake killed it.

There was a Kenyll'rah demon in MT. Trull saved it's life. It was Lilac.

The Korvalah was basically a cloud. The Kenyll'rah was a great big strong sort-of-humanoid being. It's hard to confuse the two.

This is just a simple mistake.

Panek wasn't a demon, he was the little Seven Cities boy that Apt adopted and adapted.

How many different races of demons are there? Oh, and what kind of demon is Greyfrog, can anyone give some information about him?

There's probably an unlimited amount of demonraces since any creature that does not stem from Wu is in theory a demon.

I think all the demon races we know have been mentioned above. Grayfrog is a grayfrog, doesn't really need explanation in my book, he's just a big swampdwelling toad with the brains of a smart dog or something.

i really love how the demons in erikson's books are just creatures from other realms, and we're demons to them as much as they are to us, instead of what people usually think of demons as.

Greyfrog isn't a frog... :D I think L'oric picked him up in a realm where his kind were nearly extinct/ where he was near to dying. He was picked up because the T'lan Imass realized that the Liosan god was an impostor (a familiar put there by L'oric to hide the fact of Osserc's departure)

Don't have HOC on me... can anyone give a reference?

I'm pretty sure that Greyfrog is kind a white fur little animal with big mouth, something like gremlins(before midnight snack). And yes, L'oric was going to put him in place of that bird-like demon that T'lan Imass killed, but later sent him to guard Felisin younger. So, who is now in the place of Osserc?
At the end of MT two brothers princes, Kenryll'ah demons, were able to catch that FA, Serenity or something, and cast him down the well. I'm wondering, how strong are this demons, since FA are pretty hard to defeat?

There's a reason to why sorcerors keep summoning them and using them in battle.

Not really a spoiler, in RG we see that Kenryll'ah demons can survive moranth munitions easily and that they have very strong regenerative abilities. They are somewhere between 3 and 4 meters tall.

There's not many things that can stand up to a creature like that.

As I recall he hasn't fought any Kenrylala demons. Are you refering to GotM?

There he fought the etheral demon I think was called a khorvala (the one named pearl) and the Galayn Lord, not a kenrylalala as I recall.
