So I've asked Pat to put forth an idea to the publisher, although probably too late for the Gardens release, but for deadhouse perhaps. How bout getting a poll going and the those that purchase the books can vote on 1 scene they want painted. From what Pat has told me SE picks all of the art that is to be drawn, so I figured we can pick 1 and SE can pick the rest...what do you guys think?

And we need to make sure the artist has actually read the books so he knows what he should be painting properly. ;)

Sounds like a great idea indeed Jen. Methinks I will have to start a DG reread in time to come up with a suggestion then...

HI.

We don't have the artwork in hand for Gardens of the Moon, but those interested in seeing if Michael Komarck is up to the job can check out a sample of his work at our main page, or head over to his website. I think you'll all be pleased that he'll have a nice epic touch to bring to the books. We're already hard at proofing Gardens, so it's on schedule for lrelease very late this year or early next.

We aim to make these, and the Naomi Novik books we're doing truly special. Dominic Harman is handling the covers for those.

Also, the lettered editions of these books are selling very well, so you might want to get your order in soon if that's the version you'd like.

Best,

Bill

Anyway of finding out how many of each edition has been sold? I assume that the numbered edition I will get depends on how many ppl had ordered ahead of me?

Not to mention Folkie is just representing the rest of us on the board - 'specially since he's more likely to get away with it relatively unscathed :o

Shiara - demands pics! Quietly...
