So they have taken our money already, right? I'm just assuming, I never checked to see if it went out before. What I really don't need now is a £150 hit on my bank account...

They've taken money from me, that's for certain. I think it's the same for the rest.

Yup, they take the money up front when you reserve it. I was a little surprised by it when i saw the debit from my bank account, but shrugged it off.

*corrected

and what is the official excuse, not to many professional buisness like this one would just out and out screw over its customers, because when it comes down to it they will have to pay back the money if the books dont get made...

have they sweetened the pot (ala PS publishing over the ROTCG error debacle)

edit: there big nose :(

Not to be...ok, fully intending to be pedantic, but "sweatended?" Making up words, huh? :(

Yeah, spelling burn. That's what you get when you disrespect The Nose.

Maybe the silver lining in all of this is that if they go ahead and do a limited edition like this one for each book...the others will come out much quicker.

I don't need to see. I follow my nose. It always knows.

And on that note, I think I'm too tired to communicate with other humans any more tonight. Off to bed I go.

Well if it is indeed the art that's holding things up then I highly doubt the rest will come faster, since it'll always be the same problem (i.e. they show us a picture, we tear it to pieces, they start form scratch).

But that's ok since I don't really want to spend all that money in a short period of time anyways.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

The whole thing sounds like a scam to me. The book is never coming.

Yes, SubPress are a totally unknown and disreputable publishing company, who don't have a huge catalogue of successes and satisfied customers. It's a scam!! :GA:

Brood will agree with anybody who is being nice to him...

So, arent you guys covered by any laws about the seller not living up to the agreement?

And was there any set delivery date, or was it just a "we'll get it to you at some point, promise!"

There was an expected release date, but nothing definite.

Why have people assumed the book won't be delivered? We've seen the artwork he's working on, and apparently that's the only thing delaying it.

It's my internal and eternal pessimist, the same one that tells me that my copy of TtH won't get here until september and aDWD won't ever be finished.

I'm sure it will be fine though. In the mail any day now.

Very unlikely, but I'd imagine withing a month or two
