I would have to say that I am drawn to spite and envy, there is alot of mystery surrounding them. as far as elder gods I have always liked the gods of the sea like Mael or osse as Tolken refers to him. But in this story Killamandros and E'sreal are really becomming apart of the story Killamandros smashes dragons skulls i mean come on.

I'd have to go with Caladan Brood.
End of the series, the crippled god wins then brood swings that hammer of his full swing towards the earth:D !

Interesting how SE himself said in an interview that if he was going to seek the help of an ascendant he'd choose Gothos.
Nok Rake, not Killy, not Mael... but Gothos. I wonder if that is because he reckons Gothos about the smartest ascendant out there?

I would have to agree I would go to Gothos, I did not know he was God or an assendent, But i do know he meddles alot and has vast knowledge and probably most of the more powerfull gods or assendents owe him a favore or three. By the way where does it say he has assended?

so hard to choose. what do we do with our ascendant once we've picked them out?
are the Hounds ascendants? cos I'm a dog person.

We do nothing with the ascendant we choose unless you want to draw pictures of that ascendant and then write your own comic book series about how that character would fare in our world. We just pick, and that's all.

Rake and Cotillion are by far the coolest. Rake is supremely confident, and Cotillion is actually a nice guy at heart.
As for favorite ascendants, I'd have to go with Whiskeyjack. :heyhey:

I'd have to say Rake is my favourite Ascendant. favorite "god" would be Icarium. He's just frickin awesome when he was trying to take the First Throne and facing Trull and then Quick Ben.:folken:

Ah, Im going with Mael all the way. Nothing beats an elderly manservant with awe inspiring powers lol!

Agreed, he would only need to waft his Cream of Sandal soup in the direction of any known enemy and there you have it. Instantaneous bowl release.
On a more serious note. I like Mael the best probably because he seems the most human.
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I have to say Bugg to, he has to be the most human elder hod of them all.
...Besides the numerous discutions betweeen Tehol and Bugg as to be the most funny parts of the whole series(allthough Iskaral Pust and his wife comes very close)
