I just love Shadowthrone, he flits in and out of existence but still pulls all the strings, I like Meal but "bugg" was better, if that makes sense? and if i was getting into a fight ..well Anomander Rake on my right and Kilmandros on my left sounds unbeatable

Karsa would beat the crap out of the both
...but Bugg would have whopped Karsas ass with his infamous "whool tea"

Since when was Red mask a god????, all I got from him was that he was a great fighter and semi competent tactician who could communicate with the KC... and he is dead now!!
EDIT: oh yeah my favorite ascendant would be Mael or The Rope, would say Rake but its been so long since Ive seen him do anything in the present time.

My favourite ascendant is Rake. As for gods K'rul, Mael and Cotillion.

Mael and Rake for me as well.
With Mael/Bugg I get the feeling he actually cares for humanity.
Rake is just extremely competent and confident and the ability to shift into the form of a huge dragon doesn't hurt of course.

personally, i like cotillion the best. he actually seems to have a reasonable sense of humour, and seems rather grounded. as much as an ascendant can be.
Question:
Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?
If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

If Paran is actually an ascendant then I pick him. Saves the world, summons gods like they're his lackies and makes big bad monsters simply disappear.
A close second would have to be Shadowthrone, simply for the amusement factor.

Flying Monkeys definitely win.

I reckon the CG is pretty cool character, although a badie, hes perfectly twisted enough to give the others the shits.
i Also like Tiam, cos i like drgaons, always have so why not pick mummy dragon?

I like Cotillion best out of the gods. In a few points through out the books he shows his more 'human' side. Plus lets face it, he has Ammanas and his insane high priest to put up with, he deserves a holiday. Paran is pretty cool as well and IMO far cooler than Karsa. Karsa was just built to do cool stuff. Its harder to look death in the face and spit in its eye if yer just a reg guy like Paran or Fiddler or all the other normal guys, although thats all at the start of the books at least. I like underdogs!

Karsa is the underdog... so far anyway.

I'd hardly call him an underdog. If you look at what he has done, there is no comparison between him and the regular Joes like Hedge and the like. He is a mad man!! With a huge sword!! He is pretty cool though and he does have a pretty awesome destiny all the way through. I think he is kinda designed to be a certain kinda cool, the way Rake is cool. Ya mightn't think he is cool, but he is written as having a certain kinda mystic' to him, a certain awe and he gets to perform some awesome feats (Rake that is but also karsa)!! Ya gotta love the little guys though, esp people like Paran when they finally get one up...the poor bastards.

Compared to the other ascendants, I'd say Karsa is still an underdog (not sure if Karsa has ascended yet, but I think I read it somewhere on the forum).
I see what you mean though. Hedge is not an impressive warrior

I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I forgot Coltaine. Ok so he wasn't an ascendant but the guy is just pure class!!! Def. worth the mention. What an exit!
