Clearly Bourne beats any Bond. And he could beat MacGyver with only a pen. He could probably beat Jack Bauer on one of his good days. Wolverine would be hard for him to beat though. :p An angry regenerative claw equipped mutant is not something you beat. No, you feed him muffins. ;)

Because Bourne is SO badass, he KNOWS he's a character in a book and STILL kicks butt!

Oh man that last sentence brought this up: Who wins in a fight between McGyver and movie Jason Bourne? It's already obvious that Bourne beats Bond.

If duct tape is allowed, MacGyver.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Oh, come one, Bourne would kill MacGyver with the duct tape. :heyhey: He is like the MacGyver version of an assassin. You can't beat that. Well...Wolverine would though. :)

I dunno... MacGyver with duct tape vs Bourne with a rolled up magazine...
well, obviously the answer is Wolverine. :)

- Abyss, bcs 'Look out! He's got a 'Chatelaine'!!!' just doesn't compete with 'snikt'.

Yesh, Wolverine is what I'd say too.

But otherwise, Bourne is just too professional to even need to fight MacGyver LOL It's all about perspective, ya know :)

Obviously i'm not in the Mac camp here, but credit where credit is due, he would just fashion a functioning tactical nuke out of the tape.

Of anything, i did love the bit in 2 and 3 where they are all going nuts looking for him and he's just across the street. And tells them so.

- Abyss, notes not a spoiler, since its in the trailers.

Heh... that's very funny, tho i still prefer the scene in 2 where they tell him they can't find Nikki and he tells them she's standing right in front of them.

yes! must see that when it comes out. damn the backwater. we are always the last to get anything...except new zealand, which doesn't get it at all. then again, that doesn't count.
Question:

Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?

If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

Just seen Bourne Ultimatum... as it has only just managed, Bourne-like, to wash up on our shores and stagger into the movie cinema.

Does anyone agree with the premise in SLATE magaszine (online www.slate.com) that it was an anti-american movie. I've been thinking and all I can come to is that at worst it is an anti-"no checks and balances" movie. The "baddies" are certainly not made out to be the standard US citizen or even crypto-citizen.

It did feel like the second; a question though:

It's not particularly anti-american. For every evil bad gov person, there's at least one equally nice, cuddly one.

As for the ending i see what you mean re ambiguity, but fundamentally, if they had doen what you suggest, it would have left the vast unwashed unsophisticated majority with only one conclusion as to how it ended.

- Abyss, fluffing the spoiler limits there.
