Final Duel: Mok vs. Tool

OK, so we're left with a rematch at the end. Perhaps a bit anti-climactic but oh well. How you vote here depends in large part on what you think about Tool's transformation. Is he faster as a mortal Imass than he was when he was an undead T'lan Imass? If so, then he has a chance. If not, well...I might withhold my vote for a while and see how this one goes. Personally, I think Tool would be faster as a mortal, but I'm not at all sure that it would be enough to handle Mok.

mmm... the seguleh reputation is a bit too legendary...
hey i just had a thought. maybe icarium is the seguleh first. (keep in mind i haven't yet finished RG if that was stupid)
still, we do know who wins this and i for one welcome a human champian over Imass
go mok. it's your birthday

Tool is my favourite, but he already lost this one
/me hopes to see Tool in many more swordfights in the books to come

Now i can't find my copy of MOI, and it's ages since i've read it, but i always took it that when Tool fought the Seguleh, he tried to defeat them without using the blade of the sword to kill.
It's definitely mentioned after the first or second challenge that he used the flat of the blade so as not to kill, and was willing to risk being damaged. Now did he go all out to try and KILL Mok, or did he again try to win without killing his opponent?
Cheers

I would vote for Mok, normally. But he can't win a tournament where the 1st has already been eliminated, because that would mean he is better, technically.
Tool it is, against my better judgement.

Seguleh First vs. Skinner wasn't actually part of the tournament, though. So the Seguleh First wasn't even here.
And besides, MoI does suggest that Mok's becoming a threat to the First, skill-wise.

Fights already bin decided and if people are basing Tools success on his new found speed then they are sadly mistaken i fear because i love Tool. Yet MOI proves that even as a Tlan he couldnt stand againt Mok and took a shit load of blows before hand. Damage must betaken into consideration

Mok, as I just dont think Tool can take as much damage and will fatigue more easily now he's mortal.

I think that now Tool is mortal, and closer to being human he is more likely to be immoral and cheat to win so Mok wouldn't stand much chance
I also voted for Tool, and for what could be considered a pointless/unproven/cynical assumption.
Saying that, I wonder if Seguleh fights are no holds barred.

Tool, he's got the name of a good band to back him up.
and
He just rocks man, been an undead crispy critter for a few hundred thousand years and his first day as a normal human in MOI he hooks up and gets down with the nookie? what'd Mok do? polish his mask? come on, there's more to winning than pure technical ability, there's Style to consider! And Tool has Style baby, style like a Harlem Pimp in the 70's, style like Hugh Hefner since, well since Hef's been the Hef!

And Tool breaks ahead.
And after I make that comment Mok breaks through and turns around the deficit to a winning one!

Hes the First Sword of the Tlan Imass. He was trying to avoid killing Mok. If he was totally unrestrained, Tool would have crushed the 3rd.

And Tool pulls ahead. Just barely. But it may be enough.
Sorry, I just couldn't leave it a tie. Tool has style and a couple millenia of experience. Plus he would get nasty now that he knows he can't take as much damage as he could while undead, preservation instinct. Plus there's the fact that there is a good chance he wasn't going all out on Mok at the end of MOI.

I really like Tool and I think he's an awesome fighter, but I think Mok would beat him in the end. It's gonna be close, but Mok will win.
