Just for an update on the status of the book. Whether it is been packed, posted etc.
I was hoping it would arrive today.

I sent them an email today, and this is the reply: "Pete was sending out copies of Crimson Guard on Wednesday, so yours should be headed toward you as we speak." Yes!!!!
"Yes, the owl was deliberate in each and every instance, and yes, it was intended to work on multiple levels." (from SE's Dec 09 Q&A)

now i'm going to be distracted everytime something comes through the letter box, or I hear the doorbell ring in the vague hope that it's RotCG.

there goes any chance of revision til it arrives...

When I got the news, I considered not getting dressed and running to the accomodation mailroom. The idea was folly, I would have got a lot of raised eyebrows and I may have got reprimanded by University staff.

So I got dressed as quickly as possible, wrote down a code and sprinted to the mailroom. It's here! Now I just need to balance reading and revision.

Just so everyone knows, this is an ARC. Your versions will probably arrive tomorrow or the next working day.

Well, mine isn't an ARC and it's here so I'm going to have write this weekend off as a loss.

So the deluxe sell-your-organs versions are starting to arrive?

- Abyss, must now avoid the RCG forum until August...

So what's the deal with spoilerific content from now on?
Vague thread titles with SPOILERS in them or simply post what we want?

Just my 0.02$ but i'd say it's open season on forum content, but maybe be circumspect in thread titles until the book is in wide release in August?

I forget - how did we handle NoK?

- Abyss, fleeing now.

Be careful with threat titles, but I guess it's open season inside the threads. You might still want to mark topics as specifically spoilerific until the mass release, though.

For now keep the prologue, chapter 1, publication date and the forum rearrangement thread free of spoilers, until the mass release at least so those who haven't had to sell a kidney can discuss what we have of the book, and speculate as to when it is to arrive.

Otherwise your free to post spoilers anywhere in this forum, but keep spoilers out of thread titles. If you see a spoiler in a thread title let any of the online mods know and we'll fix it.

Yes mine arrived today right after I left for work. So it is waiting for me at home tonight, and I am fighting the urge to leave work early.

Well, I am really hoping mine is at least on an airplane flying over the pond to me! Will probably take a week more to make it to my mailbox. We have a long holiday weekend now and the timing would have been perfect........ah well
