I really enjoyed it, but I do agree there are a lot of characters now. I dont know if they should really be trying to touch on every character every episode.

DIDN'T LIKE
Re Daphne... okay, how many cutesy blond young girls does this show need? Seriously, we already had Clare and Elle - did we really need another one?

Nathan, back from the dead, again. Now with religion!

Maya suddenly speaks fluent english.

The whole Hiro thing with the formula was weak. I donèt like to throw the word 'contrived' around re genre, but this was almost primitive in plot and execution.

Future Clare to Future Peter - "I always loved you." Ummm... Clare is Peter's brother's daughter... ew... EW... helloooooOOOoooo... EW.

LIKE

Mamma Petrelli, now a badass, giving her timetravelling son shit.

Timetraveller Peter screwing everything up.

Sylar is in excellent form. The scenes with Clare were great. "Are you going to eat it?" "That would be disgusting."

Elle freaking out and frying Sylar.

Nikki - new personality, new power. Neat.

Nice to see Bruce Boxleiter get work.

Mohinder finally doing something interesting (i mean besides Maya).

No sign of Micah or Copycat.

Good start, better than most of last season. cautiously looking fwd to more.

- Abyss, ...did i mention, ew....

EPISODE 2 SPOILERS

So Niki is not Niki? Did they ever go over how she died??? I feel lost. We now have another doctor 'manufactring' heros.

And Putman sucks.

Claire is turning to the dark side, so insest is understandable....unless acted on, then Peter is just all kinds of messed up.

And future Peter needs to do something or get out of there...too confusing having two of them around.

All in all, not a bad start to the new season.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Ok so far this season I am finding Hiro's plot line a little irritating. Very contrived and just irritating. I like what they are doing with Sylar. I also like future Peter a lot better then current Peter. A bad ass who knows how to use his powers. Very nice.

I would have thought that Sylar would have gone after the Knox with the ability to use peoples fear to increase his strength. I mean the voice thing is a nice toss to black bolt and basically gives sylar the ability to destroy everything except for Peter.

HUGE spoiler

HUGE SPOILER DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN THE LAST EPISODE....

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Does anyone think that Sylar is really Mamma Petrelli long lost son?
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Season 2 of Heroes may just be the most retarded thing I've ever seen. It started off really slow and really boring and then eventually gave us such joys as the Magic Cure-All Blood and Peter's Irish girlfriend being trapped in a future that no longer exists (good to see him still being worried about that).

Season 3 hasn't reversed that damage, but at least they've remembered that people originally liked this series because of the frantic pace of events, multiple surprise cliffhanger endings and moral ambiguity. They seem to be brushing the magic blood thing under the carpet as well, which although bizarre from the viewpoint of internal consistency (seriously, why didn't they use it to heal turns-everything-to-gold-man in the S3 opener? They still had some left over in the facility) is probably a good thing in the long run.

I also feel sorry for African Painter Dude. He gets visions of the future! Cool! But only about Parkman? Seriously, what kind of lame power is that? He can paint pictures of one of the most boring Heroes out there? I'd want to trade that power in. The only thing worse would be if the only person he could paint was Mohinder.

I stil thnk that the time travell element fucks everything up, I mean it's been shown that it is possible to go back in time and change the timelline without creating a paradox, Peter coming back shows this, so why the fudge, everytime somthing happens to Hiro doesn't he just go back and sort it out.

"Oh that annoying blonde stole my formula, maybe I'll go back and tell myself/stop her, no I think I'll embark on some pointless adventure where I behave like a fucking pussy and waste precious minutes of Cougars life.

What ever happened to 'badass Hiro' with the whole fluent english and sword toting? He seems to be regressing back to the whole comic book kid deal.

But yeah, mamma Patrelli seemed a little too sensual around Sylar to actually be his mother..but then you have the Claire/Peter possible insest, so maybe it's just in the family genes.

Yeah, same here. I actually liked much of the second season. It may have been skidding off the rails, but at least you never knew where it was going (then again, maybe the writers didn't know either...). I feel like it is descending into more and more cliches at this point. In the first season, the plot twists came fast and heavy and we had no idea what the rules of the series were. Now we know almost too much, plus the writers seem to be forgetting or ignoring the rules they set up, and just randomly recombining characters and throwing them into situations to see what will happen. I mean, would the Malazan books be as much fun if we knew everything that was going on? Plus, at least the books have an overall plot...I think...
Still, Heroes is better than a lot of what is on TV. I just wish we could get a Malazan tv series :)

That's the writers taking the easy way out, they make characters act really stupid so that plot can clumsily move forward. Badass Hiro might have had enough sense not to open the safe or at least would have used his abilities fully to get the formula back - but that would have been bad for the plot.

This sort of lack of internal consistency annoys me the most with the series, for instance in ep4 we have the fight which Peter could have easily delt with if he had just slowed time down. Couldn't have that though because then Sylar wouldn't have gone all explody and stuff. Peter ofcourse remembered the said ability right after that and traveled back in time..

I found the latest episode...well, weird. There were lots of things wrong with it consistency wise, but I think the sight of Zachary Quinto in an apron pretty much makes up for all that. He really looked like he was enjoying himself in the role - I couldn't help laughing. I wish they'd shown us what Mohinder has become, although I guess that might ruin the surprise for later. But just showing a silouhette was really disappointing ;).

The Haitian seems like a very useful character for the writers - they put him in pretty much every scene where they don't want heroes using their powers, it's getting a little overused, to be frank.

The change to Peter might make for an interesting subplot or two - we'll see if his new hunger overrides his stupidity.

Personally I wish they'd left Mr. Munroe buried - the fewer remnants of Season 2 left around the better, as far as I'm concerned. But now that they've got him out, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him - he was in that group of Villains that Mama Petrelli saw in her vision, after all.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I have to say as things stand, zachary quinto is the only reason I'm still watching, his scenes are the ones i'm waiting for each episode, I loved the apron scene. This episode was pretty good, though I have long since given up on it actually making sense, I'll just enjoy what happens without engaging my brain and leave it at that.

Well the above quote is a bit of an ambiguous sentence so I'm not sure what the 'this' or 'it' you are refering to are but I'll assume you mean 'the ability to go back and change the past'.

In season 2 Hiro demonstrated that he understood his actions in the past effected the future/present (relative to perspective) with the stupid Samurai story and also the story about his fathers death. There's no reason why Hiro shouldn't go back and correct mistakes like letting rollergirl steal the formula, it makes no fucking sense at all.

I just think time travel is the crappest of all superpowers and it's lame that they even bothered putting it in, the series would have been far better without it.

I agree with Cougar here. I was a huge fan but it seems to be falling apart in a big way this season ;) There are so many instances where bad shit happens and wouldn't if Peter would just stop time. Time travel has never been used intelligently IMO. In my group of university students that theorized about random shit, I was always the guy who hypothetically went back in time to kill his grandfather btw ;)

Christ. I haven't seen Heroes since towards the end of season 1. Thingy Suresh has suddenly got a 6-pack, powers and a woman!! How the heck did that happen? And that trailer trash twin woman has got a job in government.....

Heroes pisses me off. They never do anything exciting with their powers. If I had super powers, I'd have a great time....or turn into Sylar...... Actually, I would turn into Sylar. And the first people I'd kill would be all the conspiracy idiots that would ruin it for everyone....or Andy McDowell. Okay, Andy McDowell first (and I'd make some kind of witty anti-wrinkle cream quip when I did it), then the conspiracy people who are spoiling it for everyone. Then I'd take over the world. Simple!
