Yeah, it kinda pisses me off that Peter never does anything intelligent with his powers - he should make everyone fear him ffs! Or at least make them obey him, or something.

I dunno, its easy to point and say 'Season 1 was wai better!' I think Dave Chappelle even did a skit about it in the 3rd season. Its hard for a show to retain the suspense after characters and things have been introduced.

Dont get me wrong, I agree the show has lost some of its intensity, but I still love watching it every week.

In Hiro's defense, he made a vow to himself not to go back in time, because that causes too many problems. Furthermore, that whole message from his father was basically 'I trust you to use you judgement, Hiro" which almost right there would make him feel extra worse about going back. And the only other Hero he has any real relationship with is Adam.

Peter is still annoying of course, but I have a bad feeling about his usual whiny persona combined with trying to fight Sylar's hunger (for brainz!)

And okay...I really wanna see Ando get powers.

This week's episode was not good. It was bad. Terrible acting from future Peter and Claire. Yikes.

I enjoy Hiro and Ando. Sylar. Even Parkman.

But the story is a muddled mess with repeated themes and moments from that great first season. I want to love it but it's not happening for me. Bummer.

Well, I enjoyed it. While there are things that bug me - some of the acting, future catastrophe, Hiro's reversion to early S1 - there was some neat stuff there, subtle even, if the writers intended it that way (which they hopefully prove to have later on, right, RIGHT????).

For instance, did anybody notice that FutureSylar/Gabriel had a distinct HRG vibe to him - sure, he wore glasses before, but they appeared to be more like Noah's this time around. He has Mr Muggles (or a follow-up), and KidNoah seems to be too old to be his biological son, because the scene is only set 4 years in the future. I'd wager that Noah (the old one ;)) was a key figure in Sylar's overcoming his hunger, because that looks a lot like "hero worhsip" for me. Or maybe Sylar got a dose of Noah's personality via some as of yet unencountered power.

I also have a plausible explanation why FuturePeter's didn't heal his scar now: it seems to be analogous to the broken and scratched watch, which he refers to as a scar, a reminder of what the "hunger" can do (although connecting the hunger to the ability is a tad convenient).

Another theory: Mama Petrelli mentioned that someone was manipulating everyone behind the scenes. I'm wondering if this manipulation involves Parkman's father. In episode 2, when Mama Petrelli had her vision in the Company's prison, she saw one of the Niki-clones (Tracy or No. 3?), Adam, Maury Parkman as well as Sylar. Well, the clones are there, Adam's back, but what about Maury? With his powers, may he be the one putting a fake Linderman in Nathan's head (would make sense, wouldn't it)? I expect Matt Parkman's spirit walk to lead to some developments which may tie in with the overall arc.

But then, maybe the writers didn't think that far and will drop the ball ;).

- Therion, wants to believe.

Heroes has become pretty dumb and stupid after the car crash that was Season 2. S3 has been more fun, but things just don't make any sense any more (why are people dying when they can cure them instantly with the magic blood? Why didn't the Peters, who are wanted terrorists, turn invisible to wander around NYC?). I think the audience has to simply accept that the same fire and enthusiasm that was there in S1 has been subsumed by a hungry need to make green, that the best writer (Fueller) has gone and that's it. It's still fun, but it's simply a way of passing the time until Lost and BSG come back.

I can't believe anyone predicted

. It seemed WAAAY too sudden a turn around, unless the two of them had something planned in advance (which I doubt).
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

So I guess once again the timeline gets changed.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

It's weird, I've yet to see one person say they think that
Spoiler
. I think it would be a horrific writing decision if they actually did that, but if they really wanted to shock people, leaving it like that would be one way of going about it...

The point was that the Haitian was standing there blocking both Peters from using their powers, so the shot hurt him initially. Then it's just a case of sticking something in the back of his head so that he can't activate his powers, or putting him on that IV drip that Mohinder set up in Season 1 and hey presto, he's dead until further notice. Of course, whether they actually did that, I don't know, but the writers do appear to be trying to cover over some of the plotholes. It's just that the way they want the story to progress creates WAAAAY too many of them for them to fix them all by having the Haitian be around (which seems to be standard procedure).

I just can't get over the feeling that the writers have ADD or think their viewing demographic has ADD. Whilst I like multiple threads, and in fact think that they're one indication of great literature, Heroes this season has gone way overboard.

I have been fighting a strong feeling of meh-ness the last couple of episodes. This show is starting to become a disappointment for me, and that is saying alot. If they don't pick up pace, I might *horror!* get bored of the show!

I haven't seen the last episode yet though, I'm gonna do that now.

Pick up the pace? They've been running at a million miles an hour all season! I don't think you can reasonable expect them to cram more WTFs and plotholes per episode :). I mean, compare Season 3 with Seasons 1&2 - there's so much more going on now on a per episode basis. It's just that what's going on isn't as good.
