Ok see I think that mainly this season is about sylar. He is going to turn into a super bad ass. I am wondering if sylars power can be taken away. Also since peter can absorb other peoples powers if he did the same to his father while his father was taking Peters powers. All Peter would have to do is to figure out how to use his fathers power and then to touch his father again. I wish that Parkman would stop being such a fucking dip shit and use his power like his father does.

I highly doubt the writers are as smart as us. For us it is completely logical that Peter only has to touch his father again to get his abilities back, but with the smart-score the writers currently is having, they won't have thought about it. Wanna bet?

Peters ability is to 'borrow' powers from other people. His fathers power is to steal their powers. When he touched Adam, he stole his ability and age caught up with him. So, I would think in that moment Peter confronted his father, he gained the ability. But then his father touched him, and stole Peters power. Therefore I cant understand how powerless Peter poking his papa would provide anything.

Of course, I seem to remember when Peter was learning to control his powers, a big part of them was locking in on a memory about that particular person. To me, that suggest that when Peters Papa took the power, the 'counter' sort of reset to 0, meaning hed have to go absorb powers himself.

I also agree that Sylar will probably prove pivotal in this season. At least I hope he does, hes so much more forceful and competent than Peter ever was.

You are also forgetting that Peter's dad now has "the hunger" who knows how that's going to affect him and the story. On one hand I was glad that Ando is still alive, but on the other I was sort of hoping that Hiro was starting his'badass' transformation...oh well.

[spoiler]You guys don't seem to get the screw up this time around by the writers. Peter either 1. lost his original ability meaning Peter has no power at all now, because daddy took it, 2. Peter still has his original power, meaning he can take back his powers. Both options are lame - the writers should never have daddy take Peter's powers. It's lame lame lame!

I really liked future Peter. He was a bad ass. I would have liked to have seen him stay behind and fuck with people more. Plus that let us know that Peter is going to get his powers back. I am wondering who Sylar's dad is (possibly Adam) The thing is can Adam die? I am not sure that he can. Yes I know that he turned to ashes but it might still be possible for him to come back. I kind of liked him. I think that Peter was born with his power so unlike Nathan it can't go away. I am so sick of Parkman being a fucking pussy. Last season when he was using his power like his father and kicking ass that was better. Now I want to punch him. Mohender is a dipshit.

Haven't seen pappa Petrelli yet due to unfortunate situations with social events and tennis planned on my wednesday evenings, but if his power is to take powers away and absorb them, how the heck could Nathan and Peter still have powers? The Haitian as a nanny? Isn't that one plothole the size of New York?

Well from what I understand Papa Petrelli was suppose to be dead for a long time. Also remember that their powers didn't manifest till they were older. When he was suppose to be dead.

Season 1 shows Nathan opening with the case against his father and Linderman, asking Peter to testify. So papa Petrelli was still alive then. Peter is then already taking care of Charles Devaux, who knows about his powers (as seen in I think the season 2 exchange with Peter using Hiro's timetravel ability and witnissing his mother talking to Charles).

I've only just caught up, and all I see is a bunch of writers with hams where their hands should be. I swear, This show could have been the greatest thing ever, but instead that sacrifice good stories and characters for cheesy dialogue and idiotic writing. I highly doubt I'll continue watching the show.

I mean, 3 bloody seasons of Peter finally letting his balls drop and he's about to open up ass kicking town to a population of 5, and they take his powers from him! Its like watching a bad soap opera!
Mohinder, although a strange transformation, I can kinda dig. I like the characters that act like dicks .
Hiro is just fucking retarded. He acts like a 5 year old half the time. I promised never to go back in time! Oh just this once ... more! Its just sloppy plot progression. They need to hire the guys that wrote Avatar. They know how to write a story without bullshit.
My new fave Adam bites the bullet. Thats death worthy. Claire is just a stupid bitch and if She and her family (Including Noah) got killed off the whole show would be better for it.

The one saving grace is Sylar. Far from the complete idiot in Season one, he's actually shown reasonable character growth and a range of acting abilities. I am actually amazed the same people are writing him. He's probably the only reason I have kept watching this far.

I'm so sick of waiting for Peter Petrelli to do something interseting and now he has no powers, Claire and HRG seem to have been doing the same storyline in a loop since season 1, Hiro is a whiney pussy and FFS why has that pointless subplot of Mat Parkman in Africa taken 6 weeks!

There are still problems... Hiro is a complete waste of space and hopefully Ando will see this and club him to paste asap. The Daphne/Matt thing is weak. Clare is becoming annoying. The writers do seem to like their ham, because there were so many problems with the Clare/Elle scenes (hullo, she killed your father... and umm, maybe taking someone with electricity powers on a plane = bad idea...).

But i'm liking the reversals in nature, Sylar going good(ish), Peter infected with Sylar's hunger, Mo' going bad (he took out Sylar ffs!), Maya going away and hopefully never coming back. I like Noah working with Sylar in order to find a way to take him out. Pinehearst is gathering a Legion of Doom and i know we'll never get the full blown good vs bad slugfeste we want, but it's still fun.

I disagree with all the 'Peter is awesome, how dare they take away his powers'. He was reaching a point where only Sylar could stop him, maybe, needed to be taken down a notch and actually challenged. Plus that firmly made Poppa Petrelli a powerhouse (say that six times fast). It's TV - they can't have Peter running around every week solving every problem with his endless supply of plot device powers... if you want that, go watch Smallville.

I'm on the fence about whether the show will survive, but i'm still getting a kick out of it. Less than season one but still improved over season two.
