Y'know, i'm generally anti-downloading, but you Ozzies are so utterly schkonked when it comes to getting entertainment after the rest of the world that i can only recommend you find them online because the show is THAT good.

Lol. They can pay for them via iTunes. It's what I do, since I don't own a TV.

I saw ep 1 (with ze French subtitles) off a streaming site the other day. Mehhh. It didn't hook me I must confess. Too...I don't know- hokey? generic? bland? geeky? Whatever. Didn't appeal. Is there a certain ep it takes off at? I'll watch the next few anyway...

Hrmmm. You're probably just not nerd enough for it. Too high-brow or summat. I've always been a fan of marvel comics. I waiting for Dazzler or Jubilee to show up on the show.

 First time I've been accused of being not enough of a nerd as opposed to too much of a nerd. I am on the other hand completely unfamiliar with the whole superhero subculture of nerd-dom. No acquaintance beyond the movie stage...certainly never read a comic or watched an animated series. Maybe this is why it doesn't hook me indeed.

If not for so many 'non-geeks' of my acquintance loving the show, i would have said it has no non-geek appeal. But most of those peeps watch/love LOST, ALIAS (back when it was good) or similarshows with an element of sf to them (as opposed to say, BSG which is wholely sf) so i suspect it's more a genre appeal that either grabs you or it doesn't.
For me, the first episode had me at "This is Clare Bennet and that was attempt number six"... as in 'holy $#!)(, the cheerleader has walked away from six suicide attempts!' and i want to know why.
- Abyss, does not infer any weird fetishes from the above.

Iarwain, thanks for the empath explanation.
I very much hope Peter stays with the show, Isaac is a poor replacement.
Spoiler for last ep:
Yeah, it was too bad about Eden, but I loved the way she went down, denying Sylar her power.

Question:
Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?
If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

ok, i think i get it...
Bennet said Sylar's absorbing a bunch of people's powers might eventually cause him to break down genetically.
Peter got sick after coming into contact with Sylar, then Clare, then Parkman, then Clare again, then his brother... too many powers = sick Peter.
Just a theory.
Also wondering whether the Haitian has been on the scene a LOT longer than anyone else.
- Abyss, has a similar reaction to too many tequila shots.

Yeah, I like the Haitian guy. I'm curious what's going to happen with him not wiping Clare's memory like he did everyone else.
I also want Hiro to get his sword!

When Hiro do get his sword, he can't just walk around on the streets with it sticking up above his shoulder can he? Where will he keep it I wonder. In a guitar case? Under a trench coat? In his car trunk? Or will he always go dressed for Halloween?

In his future-self appearance, he was wearing it on his shoulder. Of course, he was also wearing a black trench coat and a soul-patch, and speaking flawless english.

So I've heard some rumours for what's coming.
So, spoilers below, obviously. Read on at yer peril
Christopher Eccleston, the 9th Doctor Who, is going to be a hero. He has the power of invisibility and will help Peter learn how to use his power.
Claire might be related to one of the other heroes. I'm thinking maybe Jessica, what with the the blonde hair.
Star Trek's Mr. Sulu, George Takai, will be joining Heroes as Hiro's dad.
Freaking sweet.

Not if you have to look like you're powering out a turd everytime.
Spoiler:
I wonder if Peter exploding in the dream has to do with all of the mutants converging - as in an overload?
That would be way too easy to prevent: just stop them from converging in one place. It has to be something else.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.
