Sad part is not many people get it, no ?
I have stolen princesses from sleeping barrow kings
I have burned the town of Trebon
I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life
I was expelled from the University at a younger age most people are allowed in
I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during the day
I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make minstrels cry
You may have heard of me....

The mention of Rake was only to say that we will all cry sometime during RG but it won't be over Rake. In my book that leaves a hell of a lot of speculation open as to if he will be safe or not. While there are a lot of fans of Rake in these forums, I doubt any of them would cry if he died betraying the rest of the Tiste Andii or if he just got clobbered in an awesome fight with Icarium or Karsa.
There are still a lot of openings in Kallor's post for speculation, something you gotta respect him for, while he does tease, you still have room for endless speculation and the buildup until you actually have the book in your hands is furthered a little bit more.
(The Age of Lurking has passed, at least for a while)

I would be seriously gutted if Rake died. Though if it was in the middle of an uber-pwnage kick-4$$ fight scene where he took millions down with him before he died, it would justify such I guess...

I honestly don't think there is any way Rake dies in the series, unless he self sacrifices at some point, but I doubt SE pulls up bush league material on such a great character.

I am ashamed to say you are all missing THE most obvious candidate. Infact I will venture so far as to say that said candidate must die and infact be eaten! Now the recipee by which said candidate may be cooked, should it so be desired, eludes me though I daresay the bridgeburners cook could come up with an appropriate mellangerie fo collonary fantabulism.
Now that I think of it...I will have to make that two (yes two) candidates of the same species. Whether those candidates are one and the same , merely siblings or simply look alike I do not know. But alas...for me they must die!
THE TWO CONFOUNDED QUADRUPEDS RIDEN BY KRUPE AND PUST!!!!!!

Iskaral Pust must die. Though I like him, I think he will die soon.
As for people that I want to die, there is Spite (so long as she's killed by Envy), the Errant, Hannan Mosag and the Letherii Queen and Prince.

would you be willing to bet on it Baelish?
by 'soon' I assume you mean withn the next...what? not counting RG, so say 2 books after RG, I think that's rather generous given your statement. I bet Iskaral Pust survives the series, and , no, SE hasn't told me that it will happen.
Spite could die anytime, the Errant too for that matter ( I fully expect this to happen, no surety though)...as for the rest...hmpf, does it matter?

I reckon Pusty boy will die. Just this gut feeling. One of the comic characters has to die, and I get the feeling it won't be Kruppe. And I prefer Tehol to Pust, so I hope it won't be him. So Pust and probably Mogora will snuff it at some point. Hopefully in RG.

Well they were at the end of MT. In a slightly battered state, admittedly. But I still want to see them die because I couldn't stand them.

I thought the Letherii prince died... It has been a while, admittedly.
I too would like Pust to die. I think he is an idiot. Though he did get a bit cooler in BH...

The Queen and Prince were taken alive in one of the battles. We see them later being carried around in sacks by Hannan Mosag. He uses them to increase his magical powers. I'm sure they were both still alive at the end. The Queen definitely was.

Pust cannot die! There are several reasons:
1) I like Pust
2) He has his trusty and somewhat mysterious mule!
Now I know I liked Coltaine too, and WJ, and Dujek, and Hedge, and..., so that first argument isn't a measure of much. But there is the mule, which I know has disappeared, but Iskaral didn't seem too puzzled about it, so I still recon it's around somewhere.
All hail the Mule!

Saying the bad characters should all die.. that is a bit silly. Why doesnt SE just write a huge book where everyone prances around in the daiseys eating ice cream and saying please and thank you to everyone...
Anyway, i would be really happy if Apsalar and or Crokus bit it. I just dont care about them anymore. Go, stay, whatever just dont fil anymore pages with them... I vote for Apsalar, crokus would be better once he finds out she is gone for good... and she has way to many skills she in no way earned. Otherwise i cant really think right now of anyone that really bothers me bad or good. I would be ok with losing a Pust/Mogora/Kruppe. I am usually not too entertained by them. Though i suppose if they died someone similar would have to fill their role...
Kalam should go.. not that i dont like him... but he did fight impossible odds and take on poison.... Just doesnt seem right for him to carry on.
Would perhaps be funny if Hedge 'died' a 2nd permenant death.... (another person that escaped permenant death...)

I'd like to see the Rope nocked off, not because I dislike him, but because it would mean that ST would have to come out into the open more. He also has developed a great deal as a character, and his death would certainly upset and surpise a lot of people.
Kel and Dancer have been in every book except MT, so it's possible that they won't make an appearance on the Lether continent. Still, they are gods, and it would be pretty cool if it turned out that they were the ones pulling the strings on this convergence (not the CG); and also pretty tragic if "Uncle Cotillion" were to die.

Although I don't know whether the Rope's death is likely in the next book, there is a good deal of consensus that he will die eventually in the series. He's just too compassionate and caring of a guy to stay a live in SE's series. His death was debated elsewhere. I don't remember the thread.

I don't think Kruppe, Ganoes, and Quick Ben will die anytime soon. These are the characters that are most likely to end up facing down The CG in the end. They might not live through that but they'll be there for the festivities.

Well QB's soletaken form is to be revealed later on in the series so it would seem that he'll survive for a while. Ganoes I'm less certain about.. I mean a Master of the Deck opposed to the CG. Surely old Chesty has plans for Ganoes Paran.
