Ugh, black metal. Not much of a fan. I prefer it less...dark. :(

Savage Garden - Affirmation

Hehe, just kidding.

Enslaved - Ascension

Enslaved rule! One of the few Black Metal bands that are actually worth listening to...

so do they just scream their lungs out in what vaguely resembles human speech?? or are they comprehendable?
this is my main problem with metal bands these days, they just go on and scream like gutted pigs and say this is metal...

When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

OH you're opening a whole discussion here about what is metal... (Especially as you just claimed that Metallica are true metal. That might have been the case... once...) Perhaps a new thread is needed for this... :(

'Aye.' It's a good word. I think. More a whole attitude than a word, really. With lots of meaning in it, too. A bit of 'yes' and a bit of 'well fuck' and maybe some 'we're all in this together.' So a word to some up the Malazans. <Sunrise>

Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall

Feels odd saying this, but these guys remind me of an older Metallica, combining heavy vocals and sound with occasional softness. Lyrically they're depressing and dark as hell, but musically these guys are awesome.

Guns N' Roses - There was a Time

A lot of people hated on this album, but I liked it quite a bit. =/ More than Use Your Illusion 2, anyway. And maybe Use Your Illusion 1 as well.
