Ok, this is not a good thing. So, I caught some of the programming tied to 'Shark Week' that just completed, of which included the 'Shark After Dark' live after show with a talk show like format to discuss that evening's programming, which was pretty terrible. One of the terrible parts was the EDM DJ (Jauz?) who would play this song going into commercial break. Now it's stuck on my ear/head. Not good.

Saw Clutch over the weekend. They put on such a good show. Played a lot of songs from their earlier albums, the crowd loved it.
Killswitch Engage opened for them. Wasn't too familiar with the band before going to the show, they are not for me.

Killswitch and Clutch are worlds apart on sound. Doesn't seem like a good pairing.

I have (in the last week) discovered Norwegian songstress Aurora...and fallen harder for this music than I did Tori way back when I was a youth. Like I dove into her entire discography on Spotify, and have now watched multiple interviews with her, and am considering a t-shirt.
For those that are curious, here are two tracks from her most recent album. These speak directly into my soul. Amazing.
This second one won't embed, but you can hop over to YouTube to hear it

huhn, well I'll be damned, the awesome new actress who plays Robin on season 3 of Stranger Things is also a singer. She sounds a lot like Zooey Deschanel from that "She & Him" project. I don't hate it though. Also, do any of you guys think she sounded a lot like Uma Thurman in ST s3?

So I am loving the chilled out melodic rock goodness of these guys at the moment.

All those tend towards lovely. Lately I've been listening to Brutus on repeat.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Pearl Jame - Elderly Woman
Man, this is probably my favorite Pearl Jam song. Just love it.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Don't know anything about this artist (Meg Myers), but fell upon her version of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". I think it's lovely.
The set she did on NPR Tiny Desk Concert series is stellar also > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSMt8qbhu0w

Well guys, the autumnal equinox officially occurs here in one week. This song has been in rotation in my neck of the woods and so I thought it would be a nice one to close out the Summer of 2019. Hope it was a memorable summer for all the good reasons for you guys. Start working on that beach bod for summer 2020, it will be here sooner then you think.

One of the titans of drumming has died - Ginger Baker. He may be less well known then some of the other drummers known for abusing and bashing away on their kits like few can, but make no mistake, his style has influenced many. R.I.P Ginger Baker.

It really is. It was the second song I heard, iirc, after Way Too Long.
ETA: What do you think of the new album?
