Karnivool - Sewn and Silent

@alestar - good stuff, eh? ;) btw I saw Alestar live, supporting Turisas they were flipping great!

Never listened to any "Alestar" (any good? what style?)...my user name is from my hockey league, the AleStars "Win or Lose, We Still Booze!"

Ah... Right, well according to the band they are "Scottish Pirate Metal" make of that what you will. :2guns: I guess they are a kind of folk/power metal hybrid, but the lead singer uses an accordion and they have a keytar player as well... They dress up as pirates and sing about pirates and drinking and wenches. Pretty damn hilarious actually. :p

"Scottish Pirate Metal"? I guess that needs to be seen live to be fully appreciated! (after an appropriate dose of beverages...)

While I don't agree with this, I'm guessing the third song is "Change in the House (of Flies)"?

The Stanfields - "Ship to Shore"
And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

CAT POWER - He War

Ripped the intro for this as my mobile phone ringtone for a while. Works really well.

I dunno why but I always liked Feiticeira...then again, I don't listen to deftones much so maybe not.

Dream Theater - The Test That Stumped Them All

^ That song has the most ridiculous guitar intro...

Also, it sounds even more amazing with my new IEMs. :2guns:

took me an age to get the female singer, refusing to wikipedia was a time wasting experience, but once I figured it out, it was obvious, sort of recognised her then too.
