Foo Fighters did something interesting last night on SNL. Starts out with Dave Grohl performing Everlong solo, then goes into rocking version of a popular Christmas song and finishes up with a rocking version of the Charlie Brown theme song.
Have fun and smile.

Bluegrass "Rocket Man". Not bad at all.

Double post! Feeling a bit retro, a bit toe-tappy ...

Long Haired Redneck was 1 of my 2 go to songs for Karaoke night at Lefty's Holler back in college.
The other being this one, of course.

Just heard Fast Eddie Clark passed away (67). That's it for the original line up of Motorhead.

“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”

Damn. That's really sad. And only two years since Lemmy and Philthy Animal died. Up in Heaven God has a front row / center seat to the awesomeness that is Motorhead.

Feeling a bit nostalgic for these guys lately.

This concert a couple of weeks back was awesome!
It's the opening concert for the season at my local jazz spot, so feel free to skip by the organizers monologue!

Nils Frahm is out with a new album. All Melody. I haven't been able to listen yet, but I am quite confident it's going to be great. I'll get to see him play here in Oslo on the 14th of February, which considering how my lovelife seems to be progressing, might turn out to be a bit of an issue, but I'm seeing his concert anyway!

"Hey so I really want to be with you on Valentine's Day but I've had tickets for this concert since forever. You have become a very important part of my life and I'd love to get some incredible experiences with you, how do you feel about coming with me?"
Solved!
Also, imma listen to that Nils Frahm album you usually dig some pretty cool jazz artists.

I agree with Tiste's idea...and on the off chance you somehow can't get tickets for her to come with you (or she's not into that)...suggest something before or after the show (drinks or food or whathaveyou). This way lou still see your show, but you're not neglecting the day with the new romance.

Just tell her Valentine's Day was invented in 1985 to sell cards and candy to schmucks and you want no part of it. She'll be impressed by your historical knowledge and your edgy anti-establishmentism.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

This would have been the strategy if the tickets weren't sold out more than half a year ago. I bought mine just after I broke up with Eva, so I didn't much consider the Valentine's angle. Though, to be honest, I doubt it'll be much of an issue with this new girl, she's a little more relaxed when it comes to this sort of stuff.
I would have loved to take her with me though, it'll be a great concert and it would have been fun to share the experience.
In other musical news, I saw Ola Kvernberg's Steamdome live last night and it was awesome! You guys really should give it a listen, it's available on both Spotify and Apple Music.

That is an excellent idea though. One could think you were married or something!
