I told y'all I was rooting for the Colts, and I was--until halftime. By that point the Colts had basically rolled over, and the Saints were pulling stuff like an onside kick to start the second half. A fricking onside kick! I gotta respect the cajones required to call that play. Props to the Saints, that was a fun game to watch (unless, of course, you're a Colts fan.)

Favorite commercials, anyone?

Here are mine:

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

I'm a ridiculous Colts fan. I have sunk ridiculous amounts of emotion, time, and energy into them.

Pssh, think of all the Saints fans, who have never had a bowl! You just had one not long ago....

Also, there's this guy that I've known for a long time, was good friends with my brother. He is like the most hard core Saints fan I've ever known. He watched every game even in their worst years. He tried to go to as many games in the Superdome as possible. He sunk ridiculous hours into playing the Saints on Madden. He had numerous Saints wardrobe items, bumper stickers, etc. to proclaim his devoted Sainthood year-round. I realize that a lot of teams have tons of fans that are like that, but the Saints have few, and most of them are in NO itself, rather than in the periphery (we're an hour away from NO).

I haven't talked to that guy much in the last 10 years, but I have him on Facebook, so I went to congratulate him, and his page is just swamped with all his friends doing the same.

Great game I thoroughly enjoyed it. That interception was beautiful, but then so was the 96 yard play by the Colts. Watched it on Sky where I think they use the commentators from CBS who seem to know a bit more about football than the BBC commentators do. Cos we had it recorded it meant that we could fast forward through the lame (British) adverts...

Toby - stay strong, October will come quickly.

Incidentally, your cheque is in the post and, if timed right, should have arrived with you today. If it hasn't, I blame the fact you live in FUCKING WALES, you mad man. :p

October shall be immense, even if I plan to be so battered I have no memory of the game afterwards. :p

You know full well I'd NEVER do that.

Cheque fraud is ridiculously outdated, surely that's obvious.

Lacrosse? I'm not much of a fan of women's sports, tbh.

Now if those Lacrosse sticks had flamethrowers on the end, it might be a much more interesting game...

Or if you got points for those 'foul' things.

The NBA is a consistently entertaining, fast paced game with the best athletes in the world. I suggest you watch it. I gave up football for it. And jiu-jitsu/MMA. Or if you're in continental Europe - especially Spain - I suggest watching the Euroleague, as they're very good too. Slightly different game, but increasingly better skill and athletic levels.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
