I've never watched it before, last year was the first time I'd ever watched the Superbowl, so I'm new to all this. I might watch the ProBowl anyway though, just for a laugh :D

The Vikings have 6 starters and a total of 7 players supposed to show up to the pro bowl.

You better believe if they go to the Super Bowl they will not be playing in the pro bowl.

At this point I am anticipating a Ravens/Viking superbowl. What a hard-hitting game that would be. Helluva good time to watch.

I think it'll be New England v. Detroit.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. I think if Detroit gets about 2 years of good drafts, they will be a good team.

New England is going down down down.

Also, You barely escaped the Ravens the first time. Do you think that after going into NE and beating them they aren't going to be completely physically dominating against a more skill/style Colts team?

I think you have no idea what you are talking about when you talk about the Colts because you bring up terms that described them more than 5 years ago. New England sucks without Welker, and Brady played like complete ass. Spot the Colts field position at the opposing 40 yard line every drive and they put up 50.

I'm betting on Colts and Vikings

You do realize the Colts and Ravens played this year, right? You do know that the Colts barely won, and only secured it when Flacco madea foolish throw that ended up being a pick late in the fourth, while the Ravens were just outside of game-winning field goal range, right?

You do know that the Colts entire defense is based around speed, not size. The Raven's O-line wieghs more than the Colts D-Line and Linebackers combined?

It will be a close game, but I see Flacco not fucking it up and them beating the Colts.

I'm not sure how the Colts have the record they do...I would be surprised if they won the Super-Bowl.

You do realize the Colts fumbled on the three yard line, right? You do realize that the Colts held the Ravens to under a hundred yards on 30 rushes, right? You do realize the Colts are 7-2 against the Ravens, right? You do realize, that against teams that blitz five players or more, Peyton Manning's career QB rating is over 100 right? You do realize the Ravens are one dimensional right? You do realize the Colts won that game you are basing your opinion on, right? You do realize that three or more is a trend, right? And that 7 therefore is a massive fucking trend, right?

Stick to the NFC.

Edit: This is why I just bitch and moan here. I HATE talking about my team on off Colts sites. Apologies for the arrogance.

Noone won at Foxborough for 15 years in the playoffs either.

I don't really care about what happened before this season, which is most of the stats you are spweing are.

I think the ravens are going to go into Manning Stadium, and shut Peyton down just like they did earlier this year. They won't make the mistakes and screw up a needless pass in the red zone to lose the game by 2 points.

I think it will be a low scoring game, and I think the Ravens will win.

The vast majority of my post was on this game and this year, the only stats that wasn't was the 7-2 overall. The Ravens could win, yes. But claiming that a mistake they made won't happen this time, while the Colts did the exact same thing on the 3 yard line and it had a massive effect on that game, kind of drives me nuts. It's cherry picking one turnover as more important than the other.

4 out of 8 sentences in your post were about stats not related to that one game.

1/2. I think, after watching both teams play each other, that the Ravens will win this Playoff game.

There is nothing that you can say to dissuade me of this opinion, except that someone just shot all their starters.

Its going to be Ravens at Chargers and Arizona at Minnesota, leading to Ravens vs Minnesota in the superbowl.

Do the Ravens often blitz more than five players? Yes, it's why the Colts regularly beat them.

Did the Colts play the Ravens, and did I watch the game in which the fact that they were one dimensional lead to only 15 points? Check.

Did the Colts come from behind to beat the Ravens, one of the seven teams they did that to? Check.

So, they all relate in some way. Are they also more broad, making them even more relevant? Yes.

The fact that you think the Ravens will beat both Indy and San Diego... well, there is no convincing you. You are entitled to your opinion.

I don't think that is the reason the Colts 'always' beat the Ravens.

15 to 17, it seems the Colts didn't score what they normally do, did they.

It is nigh impossible to call a game come-from-behind when neither team scores more than 20 points. It just dosen't make sense.

Oh I see. So BROADLY, only two rookie coaches have ever won superbowls, and one coached for the Baltimore Colts. Broadly, do you really have a non-homerish reason that you think the Colts will beat the Ravens?

They are the better team? Can you give a better reason than, "from what I saw?" There's a reason the Ravens barely made the playoffs and the Colts are the #1 seed.

I need to ban myself from this thread.

Edit: So why do you think the Vikings are going to the super bowl?

Well the way I see if, if the Ravens can go to the Patriots and win, there's no reason why they can't go to the Colts and win. As the commentators on Sky never stop telling me, form and regular-season stats make no difference once you get to the playoffs. Don't see it myself, but it seems to be some sort of established wisdom. But what do I know? :D

Yes, they could beat the Colts. I don't think they will, but they very well could.

so HD, do you think the chargers air attack can defeat the 'number 1 passing defense' of the Jets?

Thoughts on Ari going to the Aints?

The Chargers/Jets game is interesting. I expect the Chargers to waltz all over them. However, the lack of Luis Castillo means to me that if the Jets can flash out to an early lead (like Baltimore), they'll be able to run the clock at will. Revis Island will get matched up with Vincent Jackson, but Chargers have too much fire-power to get beat. 85% Chargers win.

The Aints got beat by the Bucs, at home. They could very well lose to Arizona. Whoever wins that turnover battle wins that game. 65% Saints win.

I'd give the Colts a 70% chance.

I like the Ravens alot, but unless they get another huge early lead, i dont see them win. Colts 75% to win.

Dallas is getting all the hype at the moment but i dont see it. Vikings 55% to win.

Arizona - N.O is 2 teams who are much alike going at eachother. Experience say Arizona. Homefield say N.O. Cardinals 50% to win. (Total homerpick)

I hate the JETS and i kind of like the Chargers and i really like P.Rivers. Chargers 90% to win.

To me the NFC is really close and anybody can win those games, while in the AFC i see Chargers and Colts as huge favorites to win.
