I cant believe how bad the Broncos defence is looking, ouch. And I think you should have kept Favre for just one more season, RLY, what with Aaron Rodgers being injury prone and Favre making up for the JEts defence being worse than the Broncos :D :p

I would have loved to see him stay in Green bay. Oh well. Rogers is playing fine, but I knew it was a matter of time before he got hurt. 2 rookie backups? Really? That's the plan?

Anyone else laughing hysterically at Al Davis and how terribly dysfunctional he's made his organization? It's like watching a Shakespearean tragedy, only in real life and pretty funny. Although, I mentioned the tragedy part to my roommate who noted that you need a death to complete the tragedy, which was ironically what the Raiders need, but I'm not gonna be the one to root for Al to keel over.
I'd kill the mule.

Wow, I was gonna go see Saints vs Chargers at Wembley and just went to order tickets.

I hadnt realised demand would be so high, they sold 40000 tickets in 90mins and most of the remaining 45k pretty quickly after that. The cheapest ticket I can get is in a rubbish place for £100 ($200). I mean, I'd love to go and watch, but I can go see Arsenal play 2 or 3 times for that sort of money - not to mention I;d have a bit of difficulty persuading one of my mates to stump up £100 to come with me!

What are prices like for games in the US? Are they similar, or is it just more expensive here as there's just one a year?

Im gonna go to the game next year though (as I'll be employed then lol), hope the Broncos are playing!

Double post (despite leaving several days in between):

OUCH! The Seahawks got flattened, 44-6! Now, I may be an NFL novice, but I think even I know that's an absolute caning. The Giants are 4-0 now, pretty good run off the back of the Lombardy trophy.

The Steelers have had a pretty good start to the season. Although we seem to be fast running out of players!!

Is it me or are there more injuries than usual this season. Everyone seems to be getting broken.

I can't wait for the Wembley game now...MY FIRST EVER NFL GAME!! (although i'll be wearing my Steelers shirt which will probably annoy the Chargers and Saints fans watching at home)

Kansas City got a caning ..... 127 yards ... no points. At least we had 2 drives that led to FG's ... yes, I know I am clutching at straws, I'm just glad we only lost the 1 receiver (again) but not our QB after a borderline cheap shot IMHO. :D

The tickets vary, but that does sound slightly high.

Being at the football game is only a third of the fun. The tailgate beforehand is where the real fun is. The high beer prices and long lines for the bano drag down the stadium experience some.

Yeah I paid a fortune for my tickets at Wembley but this may be my only chance so i've got to take it.

There is some kind of official Wembley tailgate party but as it is properly organised it will probably be a bit lame.

Ah yes, the influence of NFL spreading across the pond. Glad to hear some of you are embracing it.

Yes those prices are pretty steep (depending on where youre sitting) but here in the Land of Money (Tampa Bay), our ticket prices are pretty outrageous too, which is why I hardly ever get to go to a game. Enjoy it though, Football games are a blast.

On a side note, my Bucs were only able to muster up 13 points against that abomination of a defense the Broncos have... Things aren't looking too good for us.

EDIT: The Bucs made up for it this week, so it's all good.

And I just realized that Saints/Chargers game isn't for 2 more weeks, that's unbelievable that it sold out that fast! Warms my heart to see that kind of commitment over there.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Bronco's looked ropey again yesterday, but some crap penalty calls didnt help. That was NEVER pass interference. Some stupid fumbles (Marshall's one - how?!)

Hoe good was the Falcons-Bears game though? Matt Ryan was just EPIC. Good riddance Vick.

I can't believe Vick ever lasted as long as he did. He really wasn't that good a quarterback.

Best quarterback right now has to be Drew Brees. Given a little time in the pocket I can't think of anyone who can pass better. Sure people like Romo have a bit more about them but for someone who will do the job week in week out Brees is your guy

Vick is undoubtedly one of the world's greatest athletes. Quarterback? No, but he is in the middle of the pack. Plus he's highly entertaining and puts butts in the seats. I'd pick him up for back-up (maybe move to starter as he rounds into game fitness), when he gets out of jail. Hopefully, he'll land on a team with receivers who don't drop Christmas gifts.

I still think Brady's the best QB, but you're right: Brees has been burning it up behind a so-so line this year. Bush has a lot of catches, so it means that he's checking off or throwing short routes though. I think P. Manning's still in shell shock from the mix-n-match offensive line. That wasn't such a problem a few years ago, but his mobility's gone down - maybe the knee surgery so close to the start of the season wasn't such a good idea.

Peyton did say that this week felt like the first game of the season to him, having missed so much practice in the offseason and preseason. He looked great this week, and says he knee is no concern.

OMG, the Broncos are SHIT. A measly 7 scored, 41 conceded, completely innefectual at stopping the rush again. It's not shaping up to be a good season.

It messed up my fantasy football team too, I scored 95, 3rd most in the league of 12, and still lost my matchup! Bah. If I'd have had a half decent QB on I'd have won, but instead I had Cutler, grr. And 2 guys on bye weeks in other positions. Not this week though, I've brought in Matt Ryan, he's my starter now. :)

Yeah my Fantasy team had a rough start, 0-4 to be exact, but I've won the last three in a row and should win this week. Made some good trades and moves and it's looking lik I might climb back up top.

On a side note, enjoy the game across the pond this weekend guys, it's a shame 'ol Reggie went and hurt himself since he's fun to watch. I'll be watching my Bucs stomp the Cowgirls.

I will be at home watching it live on BBC2, (never thought those words would be uttered), sans tickets, frustratedly sitting all of 20miles away. Grrr. It's on for so long it changes channel halfway through though lol, starts 16:30, ends at 9 iirc. ;)

This was my first fantasy week so Im 0-1, but I have high hopes now I've got Ryan in and Elam's back off bye week. As long as Steven Jackson's fit, I'll be fine! Hopefully by next season I'll have learnt more than 50 players' names and know who's good or not and be able to pick a decent side, then we can do a Malaz league and all suffer the shame of losing to a Brit. :D

As an aside, when's the college season played? Is that the same time? I suppose it must be for the draft to work properly. I'd quite like to start watching some and keep an eye out for good rookies for next season.

THe college season runs at the same time. It's a good one, about halfway through. A lot of upsets.
