Wait so you're a NY Yankees baseball fan and an Indianapolis Colts fan in football?!?!?

That would be almost unfair to have Freeney and Taylor on both edges....and on turf?!?!? Holy shit unstoppable.

Some veterans are starting to complain about the massive contracts these first rounders are signing......this can't be good.

Weird, right? Actually, it was a sort of an arbitrary decision I made as a youngster. A rebellious lad, I was determined not to like ALL the same teams as my Dad, brother, uncles, etc... so I latched on to the Redskins and Colts to root for. Those two teams just stuck and I've rooted for them ever since. Unfortunately, my affection for the 'Skins has waned since Snyder took over...
Still love the Colts though. :p

Yeah, I hear there's trouble brewing with the salaries this off season. I've even heard some people speculate that there may be a players' strike in a few years. I hope not.

Yeah the Owners opted out of the Collective Bargaining agreement in 2010...so lets hope they can get their shit together or there coul be a labor strike in 2011.

Well Slum I can't say much, Im from Atlanta but my other favorite teams besides Braves are the Cubs and the Chicago Bears....I have family up there and Walter Payton was my idol.

Da Bears seem to be having an interesting off season. God, I want football to start. Will Rodgers be any good? He better.

I just read a rumor that shortly before he was attacked and put in the hospital, Javon Walker wa spraying people at a club with champagne. Apparently, when he was with Darrent Williams when he was shot and killed, they had been doing the same thing. If this is true, I can't believe he would do the same thing again. Not that they were justified in beating him, but that's just stupid.

That's stupid.

Apparently Chad Johnson is going to have ankle surgery now after threatening to hold out?

Oh and Cedric Benson is the biggest waste of space.....ever.

I wonder how badly he really needs the surgery, or if it's just a good excuse to hold out without looking bad. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets traded. Oh, and agree about Benson.

Couple trades announced lately...

Jason Taylor to the Redskins for draft picks

Jeremy Shockey to the Saints for draft picks

I'd say these were frickin steals for the Saints and 'Skins...

I was hoping the Packers could get Shockey. We need a TE.

I'm beginning to like S.S. more and more. Now:

On Harrison: We have no idea what is going on with that situation. Polian talked to Harrison about it when it happened, and they felt good enough about the situation not to spend a high draft pick on a WR. Which also bodes well for Harrison's health.

The Colt's couldn't afford a player with Taylor's salary.
The Colts PUP at the beginning of training camp: Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders. Sounds like an All-Pro team doesn't it?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I don't know, Shockey has been getting injured and missing more and more of each season. I would be suprised if Shockey starts 8 games this year.

When he plays, he is a very good TE, but with his salary and the fact that you still need a replacement TE or two, at least, can be bad.

I agree Slum.

Shockey is a rare talent if he can just get his attitude adjusted. Now Drew Brees has ANOTHER target.

@Brett Favre. FYI Brett it's a bad idea to phone opposing team's head coaches using a cell-phone that the Packers provided you when you are retired.

Poor Pack fans. I don't know why they are still supporting him so much up there. The cheese must have Favre-Aid in it. :D

He used a Packers phone to call the vikings coach? Oops. I don't even know what to think about all this anymore.

Just say: I am a Packers fan. I loved Brett while he was on my team. He is now acting douchly. I am a Packers fan. I loved Brett while he was on my team. He is now acting douchly... repeat and so forth! :D

I wonder if Chad Johnson will get moved before the start of the season.

I wouldn't if I was the Bungles G.M. He said he'll play and be "twice as Chad Johnsony". While that'll be ridiculous, he can catch the foozball and that's important. They'll finish 3rd in their division so they don't really matter outside of what they do against the Browns & Stealers.
